An afternoon of surfing and inspiration! - My family and I loved this experience. Our teachers were patient, knowledgeable and just awesome, caring guys. You could tell they loved surfing, the ocean and Costa Rica in general. Beyond surfing, they were inspiring! My husband has surfed before, and he said that he is so much better after a lesson with Jaco Surf school. All 4 of us were able to get up and ride multiple waves. Thank you Jaco surf school! Pura Vida!

A good time! - We had a great time. The instructors were very patient and we were all able to get up on the board and surf at least once, including my 6 year old.

Wonderful surf team! - We actually did not use the surf school, but I wanted to give a testament to the kindness of Javier Luna, the owner. During our travels last week, my son was stung by a jellyfish. Javier and his employees jumped into action to help. Javier even drove me, a complete stranger, to the pharmacy and would not accept a dime. They provided so much help and compassion, making a stressful situation a bit easier. Thanks to Mr. Luna and his incredible team!

Amazing Surfing and Day! - Amazing time, super worth the money and we hung out on the beach after the lesson! They give you the boards for the rest of the day so you can hone your skills even after the lesson. Highly recommend!

Great surf lesson - Fabricio was a fantastic teacher. Gave great advice and I was up and riding in no time. Definetly a memorable experience.

Best surf lesson ever - Awesome time!! Great lesson, learned a lot. Gave great pointers and showed us how to surf properly it felt like. My friend had never surfed before and was standing up in minutes. It was nice to have chairs and umbrellas and we could even surf a little after the lesson on our own. If we are ever back in Jaco we will definitely come by 🤩🤙

Great teachers - Francisco was very patient and encouraging! I felt safe and confident with his instruction, as a first time surfer. This was SO FUN!!

Good lesson - Good lesson. They ran a little late--Costa Ricam time I guess. Provided chaise lounges and umbrella to use afterward...

Not So Bad - We would have loved to write a great review BUT unfortunately thats not the case. We cannot say that the complete experience was a bad one but there are things we think can change to optimize the overall satisfaction of these surfing lessons. We as a couple live in an coastal town were surfing is a lifestyle. So these lessons for us were something we urged to take. We live 5 minutes from the beach so we thought of it as a NEW hobbie for us. . So as beginners we expected something less intense but also knew that we had to put in the work, we see surfers everyday at the beach...we know its tough! Our surfing instructor was Francisco. He was a well mannered and respectful instructor. He does not take his job lightly. And that was a great thing. But at times it was a bit much. At the begginng of the lessons we felt a bit lost because it was a combination of telling us that we were scared but that we had to breath it out. We followed thinking ok part of some breathing exercise routine. Next abruptly you had to drop to the sand and begin to do the steps he advises are the one to achieve a succesfull surfing technic. Not once nor 5 rounds. We heared 40 rounds was the goal a day. I'm talking about a full body workout that left us feeling mega fatigue. And that before knowing that you will be given a long board So heavy we could bearly pick it up. Then once in the water we thought Francisco was going to take each one individually to work closely at our technic and assist us in any correction. Well that did not happen!! Francisco brought us both on the water at the same time not paying equal attention to both of us and we felt lost and exhausted by all the practice outside before going into the water, carrying while tired towards the rough beach the heavy long boards, and kept trying to force us to keep getting in deeper as novice to a rough big waves Sea that day!! We were very greatful for the lesson provided by the company we just want to advise that for safety precautions and better experience these lesson should be offered separetely in the water!🙏🏽🏝🇨🇷
