A great day out with Sid - Thank you Sid for a great day out. The day was organised with us and adapted as the day progressed which worked really well. Sid was a really kind and informative guide we thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was so nice to be welcomed into ‘aunty’s’ home for chai. Thank you

Visit Jaipur - Two great days prepared by Raju for my teenager and me. A great moment full of kindness and simplicity, allowing us to discover Jaïpur. And lots of great advice! Thanks Raju 🙏🏻

A must for Jaipur!! - Our first time in India and Jaipur of course - we weren’t sure about what we wanted to see, but our guide, Raju, curated the experience so well. We got to visit the early morning vegetable market, drink chai in local spots, and see sights that were not crowded, but beautiful nonetheless. Raju was very knowledgeable and personable. He didn’t rush the experience and went about our pace. Very important for someone who needs chai every two hours!! We absolutely loved the block printing experience, something very unique in Jaipur! Overall, Raju and this tour is amazing!!

Incredible experience! Thank you Raju! - We spent the last two days in Jaipur with Raju and it has been incredible! It wasn’t my first time in Jaipur, but I didn’t do much tourism last time I came here, so one of my friends recommended Raju as a tour guide and it has been the best tip someone could ever give me. He showed us around, explained everything in detail and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. He did not only take us to the “must see” sightseeing of the city but also showed us authentic and local experiences that as a tourist we’d never discover on our own. He also helped us with some Indian logistics (such as train tickets) and gave us great advice. We had a great time, and we are really grateful for all his work and professionalism. We absolutely recommend it if you want to get to know the real Jaipur while enjoying yourself. Thanks Raju for such an amazing time!

Raju is the best - Raju is not only the best guide that you can find, but also one of the best person you would like to meet in your life. Spending time together was so nice and stimulating and I have shared real experiences with local people that were also interested about me and my culture. I felt like home with him and I felt honoured to know his family and his friends. I totally recommend Raju for every kind of trip or tip you need in India. He is your guide 😉 and now, he is also my friend. Thanks Raju 🙏 Namaste

Creepy tour guide, repeatedly tries to trick you into buying things from his friends stores. - I purchased this tour to see the architecture and history of the city. The tour guide Viru was creepy, rude and repeatedly tried to sell me things. At one point he left me in a secluded garment store where the owner tried to sell me things. After 15 minutes I left to find the tour guide and the shop owner followed me, and shook his head at the tour guide, clearly they knew each other. The tour guide was upset that I didn't buy anything. This tour guide is a scam artist. I did see everything in the list, but I felt a little grossed out the entire time. He repeatedly tried to drag me into random shops to buy things and got upset and pushy when I said no. I did not book this tour to be scammed into buying random things. Shame on Viru for being greedy and taking advantage of tourists. He took me to the farmer's market in the morning which was cool to see, but he gave me a yellow flower necklace that was intended for married women, and he said if he wore one too people would think we were married. Then he said "you're not my wife... yet". He also asked if I did yoga, because someone with my body type clearly does yoga. It was really gross. I started just rushing us through the rest of the tour stops because I wanted it to be over.

Avoid this jaipur by locals they are always force buying prodect and they get commission by this - We had specifically written and told jaipur by local and our guide Raju that we did not want to be taken to ANY shopping. Yet immediately after Amber Fort, we got dumped off at a fabric printing "demonstration" that we could see instantly was going to lead to a sales pitch. To add insult to injury, the demonstration was in a mosquito-infested location and my husband and I both got severely bitten. After we left, we told the guide again "no more shopping". The guide completely ignored this and over the course of the day, proposed visiting a painter, weaver, sari shop, leather shop and two different jewelry shops, before finally taking us up to what he said was a lookout location and then leaving us at his friend's shop! Selfies: Despite the fact that my husband and I are in our early 30s, we do not take selfies nor do we use our phones as cameras. We have a very nice camera that takes excellent pictures and we use that and then upload the photos to our social media accounts. Our guide repeatedly demanded that we give him our phones for selfie pictures and when we said no, that we didn't want selfies and wanted to use our camera, he kept insisting on us giving him our phones. He eventually only agreed to take pictures with our camera if he also got to take pictures of us on our phones. In addition, he kept trying to get us to stand in yoga poses in front of historic buildings which I thought was incredibly disrespectful of the buildings. I understand that some tourists may choose to take pictures that way, but was shocked that the guide ASKED us to do it. Poor knowledge of history Let me preface this by saying that I was a religion major and a history lover who prepared for my trip to India by reading a 600 page book on its history. So I came into the tour already knowing the basics and was hoping to gain some deeper and more specific knowledge about Jaipur and its rulers. I was sadly disappointed. Our tour guide Raju did not possess any historical knowledge beyond that which can be gleaned by reading a guidebook. We were surprised at his lack of knowledge, as we had been told these guides were "trained". After our experience, I assume this "training" must be a basic course on how to navigate the city, not a knowledge-based history lesson. I found myself reading wikipedia articles in the car between locations in order to have a better understanding of what I was looking at. Our guide was not able to tell us specific dates for many of the buildings and did not know most of the historical figures beyond the five primary emperors. In addition, he repeated as truth various stories that have been proven to be untrue or highly historically unlikely. Finally, he would shut me down after I asked him several questions saying that what I had asked wasn't important, or did not matter. My husband found the guide's pushiness towards shopping and selfies most disturbing, but I was most upset by the complete lack of knowledge and general disinterest he showed towards his own history. Overall, this was the worst tour guide I have ever had. The combination of a complete inability to listen to and respect our wishes as to the camera and shopping, as well as the clear lack of training or historical knowledge made this day an extremely unpleasant experience.
