The Overnight Camel Safari - (Off-the Beaten Track) is ideal for those who want to live the nomadic desert life. These tours offer you the freedom to explore the desert in a unique way as you will be taken through varied landscape of the Thar desert including – arid scrub land, fields ploughed by tenacious farmers, rocky outcrops, dotted with huts & temples and offering plenty of opportunities to spot the local wildlife. This tour will be completely off-the-beaten track and you would be spending the night sleeping under the stars in a warm & cosy bed.
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- Please make sure you have sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and long sleeves shirts are recommended to protect yourself from the sun.
- If you are a single travel we would kindly ask you to please contact us and we will endeavor to join you with a group
- We require minimum two people to start The tour and maximum group can be of 8 people or any size if you travel with your own group

- Please note that meals provided are as per our standered vegetarian menu; should you wish to have non veg meals there will an additional charge.
- Please note that there are no man made facilities available on our tour such as tents or washroom; for toilet you have to go behind the bushes.

- The tour start at 6:30 am and end at 11:30 am the next day.

Wonderful camel safari with kind, knowledgeable and friendly hosts. - Every aspect of our experience with Trotters was first class. When I tried to book from the UK and my payment wouldn't process, the company kindly took my booking anyway. All of the staff were kind, considerate and relaxed. The jeep driver was knowledgeable and very patient with my endless questions. Also a great chef! The camel guide was great fun and the camels were very well behaved. He is also an expert chapatti maker! Our sunset meal was really delicious and the whole experience wonderful. Thank you all so much.

Absolute highlight of our trip through North India! - We had the best time! The camels were super cute, the food was delicious and freshly prepared, the guide was amazing. We loved watching sunset and sunrise as well as sleeping under the stars - so beautiful! Communication with Trotters was very easy and they always responded very quickly. We can only recommend it :)

Starry, fun and comfortable! - Beautiful glamping experience with Trotters. Comfortable and spacious tents with delicious dinner and fun entertainment. Breakfast was subpar but overall it was a lot of fun and I definitely recommend giving it a go!

Wonderful Experience - Jaisalmer itself is a beautiful city, and to add to its beauty Trotters played an instrumental role in it. The experience with Trotters was amazing, everything was well arranged, and meticulously planned.
I would strongly recommend to book through Trotters on your visit to Jaisalmer, I am surely booking through them on my next visit to Jaisalmer.

A part of Thar still remains in me - It was always my dream to witness the beauty of the Thar both under the Sun and the Moon. I wanted to have a raw experience but not too minimalistic where I might have to give up on certain luxuries like a good bed and a bath.
Due to the present scenario of covid I wanted to explore Thar with a service provider who would adhere and stick to covid safety guidelines. A provider who understood the importance of sanitation during such times.
Was fortunate enough to come across Trotters and its manager Jalam. Their package was friendly in terms of budget and really generous in terms of experience. I got to explore a part of Thar the way it’s meant to be explored atop a camel, saw the vastness spread out under the moon and realised my folly of not packing up warm clothes. This is the only time in my life would I say that I preferred sleeping under the starlight instead of comfy bed. Oh and how can I forget the tasty meals and the sheep’s milk tea. Me sitting here typing out an essay for the review would still be an injustice to the experience I just had.
My advice go for it don’t take a camel safari just for a day do it for however long you can it’s beyond worth every penny you will shell out.

Best. Hired before will hire again and forever till i keep visiting Jaisalmer. - I go with Trotters frequently and I must say, Mr.Jalam is the most caring man ever I have seen as a Tourist in my life. He takes care from small to big things and keep track of satisfaction level for every activities without interfering too much. You would have your best time in Rajasthan with Trotters. A must hire service provider. Will go with them as many time i go Jaisalmer. He even gave his own bullet to us for a day when we were facing some issue of bike booking. No doubt one of the beautiful places i had visited so far.

Night of Thar Desert Jaisalmer - Everything was perfect. The guides are amaizing people. Just i was expecting more dunes and less plants but in general the experience in the thar desert was very good. In this lockdown I fell blessed to share my experience in the desert with this company

Desert Camel Safari - We spent several days travelling via camelback with Trotters. They are a friendly and professional bunch that were informative and entertaining. They cooked all of the meals and let us participate in the culture of the Thar desert. They even arranged to have some beers delivered to us on the final night of our adventure.
Our guides told us about the camels, the towns, desert, India and I'm pretty sure they made up different names for the Camels each day.
It can be difficult to know which operators are legitimate and which ones are trying to scam you in India. Trotters is a legitimate operator and I would certainly recommend them.

Memorable 7 days - It was an once in a lifetime experience in the thar desert with my friends and humble, calm friendly team of guides of Trotters camel safari team. Regional dishes like daal bati was so delicious and tasty, the traditional music in the camp was the thing which I liked the most. At night sleeping under open sky with full of stars a memory which i will remember till my last breath..... Dear Trotters I have never seen such an great hospitality and care. I'm so happy and satisfied with your overall services.

Solo desert safari with Sumar - Sumar was an excellent guide and was always making sure I was comfortable. He spoke good English and ensured the experience was easy and a joy. He offered several times to take photos and even let me ride the camel by myself: teaching me how. I strongly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a taste of desert life and camel riding.
