Informative and a good laugh - Lalu is a charming and well educated man whose grasp of English and our sense of humour is endorsed with his excellent diction. He has great depth of knowledge but also a good sense of when to leave you to it. His heritage walk brings the history of the fort to life and over a cup of tea on his mates terrace cafe/restaurant he’ll share a few stories of VIP clients too ( discreetly of course ! 😂) like all guides, he will drop you to a couple places for spending on bits and bobs but they are seemingly carefully selected to avoid the hard sell.

Touring magical Jaisalmer - We came to visit Jaisalmer from the United States. We are so glad we went with Lalu as our guide, he was so detailed in his explanation about the rich culture and history of the Jaisalmer Fort and the city. His warm nature and pride for his city was evident in his explanation. He made us feel very comfortable throughout and we we joyed ourselves thoroughly. I would definitely recommend Lalu for any tours in Jaisalmer.

Best best best!! - We had an absolutely amazing time with Lalit ji, felt completely at home. My Jaisalmer trip was short, but worthwhile, we got to fully immerse ourselves in the town, the fort, the people, the culture you name it. Our tour did not consist of touristy click baits, rather genuine stories, and homely vibes. 100% recommended, cannot be missed under any circumstances

A must do activity in Jaisaler - We were a large group and this was our 1st time in Jaisalmer. Lalu ji was a great city guide, telling us nuances about the city's architecture and heritage. His take on risk of Jaisalmeri architecture to climate change was especially interesting.

It was very interesting to learn about the architecture and culture of Jaisalmer - Lalu was quick to recognise our interests and filled his narrative with details about earthquake resistance, spatial organisation, water management and the like… We also learned about the family life in the fort and many curious tips about cuisine, friendships and humour.
