Day 1:
Please note that the tour departs from our office in Jaisalmer; however, we can surely arrange your pick-up from your hotel in Jaisalmer or any pre-decided point.
Departure at 6:30 AM from Jaisalmer by Jeep to the camel point.
You’ll receive a warm welcome by friendly guides and healthy camels.
Have a delicious freshly cooked breakfast prepared by our guides.
Enjoy a camel ride of about two and a half hours to three hours (one person per camel only).
Take rest under the shade, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax.
Mount on the camel again and ride for approximately two hours.
Stop at the dunes, marvel at the beautiful sunset, and have a delicious traditional dinner.
Sleep under the stars (a bed with mattress, pillow and blankets will be provided).

Jaisalmer - Next morning, wake up to a beautiful sunrise.
Eat a healthy breakfast after sunrise and enjoy the camel ride for about one and a half hours.

Get a Jeep for Jaisalmer and arrive at around 11AM to11:30AM.

We offer shower facilities if you wish to refresh before your departure for the tour or on return.

The Overnight Camel Safari - (Off-the Beaten Track) is ideal for those who want to live the nomadic desert life. These tours offer you the freedom to explore the desert in a unique way as you will be taken through varied landscape of the Thar desert including – arid scrub land, fields ploughed by tenacious farmers, rocky outcrops, dotted with huts & temples and offering plenty of opportunities to spot the local wildlife. This tour will be completely off-the-beaten track and you would be spending the night sleeping under the stars in a warm & cosy bed.

This overnight camel safari starts at 6:30am and ends at around 11am the next day.

  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
  • Please make sure you have sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and long sleeves shirts are recommended to protect yourself from the sun.
  • If you are a single travel we would kindly ask you to please contact us and we will endeavor to join you with a group
  • We require minimum two people to start The tour and maximum group can be of 8 people or any size if you travel with your own group

Insane trip under very good care - Amazing trip with amazing people. Everyone was so nice and the experience was unforgettable. We were under great care the whole time, everything we needed they made sure we had it. At night they even ployed local music for us and we danced all together, it’s a moment i’ll never forget. The beds were great, way better than i imagined and the camel rides were beautiful and comfortable. A very local experience away from everyone and everything. I would recommend 100%!

Best camel tour in Jaisalmer - Amazing tour, the guys are super nice, the jeep and the camel tour in the desert is wonderful and the high of the trip is diner with Indian local music, sleeping under the stars, in very confortables beds, I recommend 100% !! Tha

The best experience on our trip to India - We did the tour with trotters because we had read very good reviews and they recommend it on the Lonely Planet. The truth is that the tour was very fun, and both the driver and Lucky, our camel man, behaved incredibly well with us. Lucky is a very good cook and we loved everything he did, as well as offering us chai or fresh water whenever we wanted. The camels were very well cared for and dissaddled them and left them free to rest. In conclusion the experience was fantastic, and I would recommend it without any doubt

Book with Trotters. - If you’re hesitating between operators to go on a safari, you can stop now. You’ve found it. Usually I steer clear of anything that says « non touristic » in the title, as it’s often the opposite. However, a single other human we did not spot. It was us, the camels, the staff and the desert. I’ll tell you what we did spot though: wild boars, deer, sheeps, lamb, cows, birds, and obviously camels. The meals cooked by the staff were very tasty. But the best part? You must absolutely stay the night, and sleep under the stars. Granted we got lucky and had a meteor shower with shooting stars every 10 minutes. But regardless, the desert is beautiful as the sun sets and gives way to the night sky. A cool breeze will cradle you to sleep. Finally, the staff provided us with a room to stay and a much needed shower once back to Jaisalmer, while waiting for the bus back to Jodhpur. All in all, unforgettable feeling of peace afterwards.

Wonderful camel safari with kind, knowledgeable and friendly hosts. - Every aspect of our experience with Trotters was first class. When I tried to book from the UK and my payment wouldn't process, the company kindly took my booking anyway. All of the staff were kind, considerate and relaxed. The jeep driver was knowledgeable and very patient with my endless questions. Also a great chef! The camel guide was great fun and the camels were very well behaved. He is also an expert chapatti maker! Our sunset meal was really delicious and the whole experience wonderful. Thank you all so much.

Absolute highlight of our trip through North India! - We had the best time! The camels were super cute, the food was delicious and freshly prepared, the guide was amazing. We loved watching sunset and sunrise as well as sleeping under the stars - so beautiful! Communication with Trotters was very easy and they always responded very quickly. We can only recommend it :)

Starry, fun and comfortable! - Beautiful glamping experience with Trotters. Comfortable and spacious tents with delicious dinner and fun entertainment. Breakfast was subpar but overall it was a lot of fun and I definitely recommend giving it a go!

Wonderful Experience - Jaisalmer itself is a beautiful city, and to add to its beauty Trotters played an instrumental role in it. The experience with Trotters was amazing, everything was well arranged, and meticulously planned. I would strongly recommend to book through Trotters on your visit to Jaisalmer, I am surely booking through them on my next visit to Jaisalmer.

A part of Thar still remains in me - It was always my dream to witness the beauty of the Thar both under the Sun and the Moon. I wanted to have a raw experience but not too minimalistic where I might have to give up on certain luxuries like a good bed and a bath. Due to the present scenario of covid I wanted to explore Thar with a service provider who would adhere and stick to covid safety guidelines. A provider who understood the importance of sanitation during such times. Was fortunate enough to come across Trotters and its manager Jalam. Their package was friendly in terms of budget and really generous in terms of experience. I got to explore a part of Thar the way it’s meant to be explored atop a camel, saw the vastness spread out under the moon and realised my folly of not packing up warm clothes. This is the only time in my life would I say that I preferred sleeping under the starlight instead of comfy bed. Oh and how can I forget the tasty meals and the sheep’s milk tea. Me sitting here typing out an essay for the review would still be an injustice to the experience I just had. My advice go for it don’t take a camel safari just for a day do it for however long you can it’s beyond worth every penny you will shell out. Cheers and have a good day lads.

Best. Hired before will hire again and forever till i keep visiting Jaisalmer. - I go with Trotters frequently and I must say, Mr.Jalam is the most caring man ever I have seen as a Tourist in my life. He takes care from small to big things and keep track of satisfaction level for every activities without interfering too much. You would have your best time in Rajasthan with Trotters. A must hire service provider. Will go with them as many time i go Jaisalmer. He even gave his own bullet to us for a day when we were facing some issue of bike booking. No doubt one of the beautiful places i had visited so far.
