- Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park - We leave your accommodation and head to the Indonesia Miniature Park, which usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We’ll spend time exploring the area, where you can see numerous pavilions representing Indonesia’s 34 provinces, each showcasing different houses and cultures. Occasionally, there are festivals, events, and gatherings from various islands that you can witness within an hour or less. Afterward, we drive to central Jakarta to visit a museum, Chinatown, and the old town.
- Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park - Still within the miniature park area, the Indonesia Museum is also worth exploring. This museum focuses on the art and culture of various ethnic groups that make up the Republic of Indonesia. It features Balinese architectural style and is adorned with beautiful Balinese carvings and statues. The museum houses a collection of arts, crafts, and traditional and contemporary clothing from different regions of Indonesia. On the third level, the museum introduces the concept of Indonesia’s New Capital (IKN), with a guide explaining it. After exploring the museum and miniature park, we proceed to the north, passing through Central Jakarta.
- Jakarta - After visiting the Miniature Park of Indonesia, we head back to the central city within an hour or less and stop at a restaurant. You should try the local food, which is served at a medium-class establishment, not quite street food. Batavia Cafe is recommended at your additional expense. We spend some time relaxing before continuing to other experiences. Next, we proceed to a Batik shop.
- Rumah Batik Danar Hadi Raden Saleh - Upon arriving at the Batik shop, you can choose to buy some Batik. Batik is a traditional Indonesian art form that combines art and technology passed down from Indonesian ancestors. Indonesian batik has developed to an unmatched level in both design and process. Various batik patterns, each with its own meaning and philosophy, continue to be explored from the diverse customs and cultures of Indonesia. Afterward, we proceed to the Old Town.
- Istiqlal Mosque - After visiting the miniature park, having lunch, and shopping for Batik, we pass by the modern Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. Designed by a famous Indonesian architect, it stands opposite the cathedral and symbolizes tolerance and harmony between religions.
- Jakarta Cathedral - Continuing our sightseeing, we pass by the old Catholic church that stood before Istiqlal Mosque. It was built on land owned by a Dutch nobleman named de Kock, purchased with the help of the Catholic colonial commissioner-general, Leonardus du Bus de Gisignies.
- Merdeka Square - We also pass by the presidential palace and take pictures at MONAS, a landmark of Jakarta with an 80-hectare area in front of the presidential palace.
- Glodok Chinatown - Driving to the Old Town, we pass through Chinatown in about 30 minutes. You’ll see a traditional market with many local items. This market is the largest in the city and is also known as the Pecinan area in Petak 9.
- Jakarta Old Town - Upon arriving in Jakarta’s Old Town, we take pictures of the main canal and old buildings, reminiscent of Amsterdam. You’ll see historical buildings in neo-gothic or European-Chinese style, including the Dutch city hall called Batavia or Fatahillah Garden. Finally, we drive to the Old Harbour for the last part of the program.
