• National Monument (MONAS) - 1. Visit the Monas Museum At the base of the Monas cup, you’ll find the Indonesian National History Museum. Here, visitors can explore 48 dioramas that depict various periods in Indonesia’s history.

2. Visit the Independence Room In the Monas cup, there’s the Independence Room. Previously, visitors could view Sang Saka Merah Putih, the original flag flown on August 17, 1945. However, due to its age, the flag is no longer on display. In this room, visitors can listen to the voice of Indonesia’s first President, Sukarno, reading the proclamation text.
3. Ascend to the top of the court Don’t miss the chance to climb to the top of the National Monument. From a height of 115 meters, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Jakarta. For a different experience, consider visiting the top of Monas at night.

Enjoying fine arts Around the Monas complex, there are various historical sculptures. Examples include statues of Prince Diponegoro, MH. Thamrin, Chairil Anwar, RA. Kartini, and the Ikada statue.

City Station
