Constructed from marble and adorned with gold that gleams at night, this 132-meter tall monument is a spectacular sight when illuminated. Next, proceed directly to Chinatown.
• Glodok Chinatown - A 30-minute drive from your hotel will take you to the Old Harbour. Enter Glodok Chinatown, where you can explore the night market or visit candy shops lit by red lanterns. Stroll through the market and temples in the afternoon for about 20 minutes, then head to the Old Harbour, which is just 10 minutes away.
• Sunda Kelapa Harbour - Upon arrival at the harbour, you’ll step into a historical trading area. Walk along the sandy paths to observe the water levels and the lights of the boats in the evening. The harbour remains active from morning until night, bustling with workers loading and unloading goods. Afterward, drive to Jakarta’s Old Town Batavia, a 10-minute journey.
• Jakarta Old Town - Arrive at Fatahillah Square, also known as Batavia Old Town, a historic area once governed by the Dutch for trade and business. The City Hall here is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, especially at night. The architecture, a blend of European and Chinese styles, is stunningly beautiful. While in the Old Town, take a coffee break at a café and enjoy dinner with small dishes. The drive from the harbour takes about 15 minutes, and returning to your hotel will take approximately 45 minutes.

• Selamat Datang Monument - After dinner, head to the central area for sightseeing or return to your hotel. Stop by the welcoming statue for photos. This bustling downtown area is a vibrant part of Jakarta’s urban life, especially at night.
• West Irian Liberation Monument - Spend some time touring this significant site, which includes the Istiqlal Mosque, the cathedral, and the Irian Jaya Freedom Statue. The West Irian Liberation Monument stands in the center of Lapangan Banteng, facing west towards St. Ursula Catholic School. The park, formerly known as Waterlooplein, was once a parade ground for the colonial administration. Atop the 36-meter high pedestal is a bronze statue of a wild-haired man breaking free from his shackles, symbolizing rebellion and independence.
