Perfect Short Escape from Jakarta - The private Taman Safari tour from Jakarta was fantastic. We saw amazing animals up close and our driver was so kind and helpful. The park was clean and well organized. Perfect for a memorable day out. Highly recommended!

Great time - Loved feeding the wild animals from the car. Ride to the park was long, but interesting. We were glad we didn’t need to drive ourselves.

Driver is not a trained tour guild - I booked the tour for five people and the experience was not so good. The Viator app says that for 5-6 people, a minivan will be provided. I even specially requested an upgrade for the vehicle with an extra cost. And they gave me a small Toyota SUV in which the backseat space is too small two adults. I have to crunch in the back with my 6 feet tall son for the entire 7 hour drive. On Viator, it also says the tour guild will speak English. In reality. The driver can’t even understand basis English. It was so hard to communicate. Even worse the driver keeps falling asleep during the ride. I was so scared that I had to keep talking to him which he could not even understand. I recorded a video when he was dosing off during the ride to request a refund for this tour. And, during the mid tour, he dropped us for a panda exhibit and told us to meet him at the nearby parking lot where we waited 40 minutes and searched the entire parking lot three times. When I tried to call him and his office, no one was answering the call. I had to call back to the Viator cooperate office and the operator said he can only try to email them and wait for their response. When I asked him if they have a backup plan in case the driver did not show up, he said no. The park is great, the kids got to feed the animals while riding in the car (I was in the backseat so there is no window for me to fee the animal). Schedule a better tour company if you can , I do not recommend this local provider. The driver was not an experience tour guild.
