While commuting to the lagoon, your guide will describe the sights along the way. Upon arrival to the lagoon, you’ll be served a welcome drink before boarding the boat for a 45-minute tour on the water where you can swim and take pictures if you wish. Once you get back to shore, you’ll be able to grab a bite at a local restaurant (additional cost) before getting back in the van to return to your hotel. Just 30 minutes east of Montego Bay, there is a little bay near Falmouth that is unbelievably eye-catching and a must-see with this after dark tour. As you swim into the lagoon, you will be amazed to see how the water literally lights up. This unusual occurrence in a body of water only occurs in four places in the world. This location in Jamaica is the brightest and most illuminating of all the other locations worldwide. Scientists and marine biologists from John Hopkins University have come to study it and now visitors from all over the world travel to Falmouth to see this natural phenomenon.

Luminous lagoon - The luminous lagoon was good we got to see the water turn blue. A couple of people actually got in the water it was just pretty and amazing

Luminous lagoon was a great experience and our tour guide Hosan really knows how to treat his customers. Loved it 😍 - We truly enjoyed going to the Luminous Lagoon to see something that we haven’t before. Our experience was a great one. Truly enjoyed it.

Luminous lagoon - Great experience, a Bit Short in our opinion but nevertheless it was really beautiful. It really feels and Looks like You have small lights glued to your hands. Khrisann picked us up and made the Ride to the Lagoon feel very short, she ist super Kind and really nice. We would do it again, but only if she would pick us up again.

Simple, uncomplicated way to see this amazing lagoon! - I booked a 6:00pm tour to the Luminous Lagoon with Down To Earth Tours for one person. I was told my pickup time was 5:30pm and my driver, Jordane, was right on time. I was the only participant, so it was a private ride. We drove to a bar with a pier called Buzzo’s Sports Bar and Grill where I was handed over to the tour guides there. I was offered Rum Punch or Bottled Water. There were bathrooms and showers. We arrived at 6:09 pm, so it was still too early and not dark enough for the tour. My driver Jordane waited with me until about 7pm and we had a nice chat. At that time, another group of three joined me and it was dark enough to go out, so the four of us boarded a small boat while Jordane waited for me at the bar. The lagoon itself is absolutely incredible, a once-in-a-lifetime must-do! (Tip: go after a sunny day, as the organisms draw energy from the sun and glow brighter at night.) Our boat driver and tour guides took us out to the middle of the water where there were several other boats. We were able to swim for about 15-20 minutes in the water- I wish it were longer! There was a photographer who took individual photos of us and transferred them to our phones. The cost was $10USD, so bring cash. You are going to want to purchase the professional photos because, even taking a phone camera in a waterproof case, it’s very difficult to get good photos. Video worked a little better. We rode back to the bar, where Jordane was waiting for me and took me straight back to my hotel by 8:45pm. There were no unnecessary stops, so it was quick and sweet. I’d definitely recommend doing your lagoon tour with Down To Earth Tours.

We went out on the lake and got in to see the microbes light up the water, the ground was super mushy, still fun. - I had a great experience and got some nice pics. We were picked up and dropped off safely. I would definitely recommend and do it again.

Best transportation guide in Jamaica - Our transportation was through “Down to Earth Tours” and Jordan was amazing! So easy to chat with and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the excursion. Dennis at the location was also amazing and so hospitable. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is that we were basically in the middle of the lagoon in black water that did not illuminate. We still had a really great time.

Don't waste your money - Don't waste your money. It's basically a bar in a muddy lagoon. Boat goes out about 100 yards and parks. You get out and swim/wade for about 10 min. The lights from my camera were brighter than the lagoon. Definitely over sold and under delivered.

Zero communication - They didn’t provide proper pick up and drop off accommodations as they stated, and once agreeing to the drop off location, they canceled the order and refunded us without message or notification. Crazy.
