Enjoy a scenic drive filled with insights into Jamaica’s rich history, passing through charming farming villages nestled in the mountains.
Upon reaching YS Falls in St. Elizabeth Parish, take a 10-minute tractor-led jitney ride through the lush rainforest to the stunning seven-tiered waterfalls. Enjoy free time exploring the breathtaking cascades and swimming in the natural pools, all under the watchful eyes of lifeguards. Experience the thrill of swinging on the Tarzan rope or opt for the zipline canopy adventure (available at an additional cost).
- Floyd’s Pelican Bar - Situated between Treasure Beach and Black River, visitors are transported by a fishing boat to a quaint wooden bar perched on a sandbar a quarter mile out to sea. The Pelican Bar is an ideal spot for sunbathing, enjoying a cold beer, swimming, and savoring freshly fried fish. This unique bar was the vision of local fisherman Floyd Forbes, who dreamed of a bar built out at sea, supported by stilts. Large wooden planks were ferried on his fishing boat, and in 2001, “The Pelican Bar” was completed, named after the flocks of pelicans that rest on the sandbank. It quickly gained popularity among locals and tourists as a serene, picturesque retreat. Witness the stunning sunset (weather permitting), enjoy cliff diving, and listen to the Reggae Band. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail in hand. The boat ride takes 15-20 minutes but is well worth the journey.
