Can’t wait to do it again! - We had such an amazing experience with Mermaid Boat Trips that we ended up going twice in one week! Our first trip to Klein Curaçao was so incredible that we booked another one the same night when we got back to our hotel! From start to finish, everything was fantastic! The crew on our first trip—Captain Kees, Angelo, Little Gijs, and Big Gijs—made the day so special. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun, making sure everyone had a great time. The second trip had a different crew—Captain Reme, Daniella, Rocky, Tony, and Stef—but the experience was just as great. No matter who was on board, we felt like part of the Mermaid family. The facilities on the boat and on shore were clean and comfortable, and lunch was absolutely delicious. We also really appreciated Mermaid’s conservation efforts—it’s clear they care about the island and the environment. Next time we visit Curaçao, there’s no question—we’re booking with Mermaid again. Huge thanks to both crews for making our time on Klein Curaçao unforgettable!

Klein Island is a must when visiting Curacao - Mermaid Tours was the best. The other reviewers were correct when they said the ride would be choppy on the way there (waves had bothing to do with the tours ability in getting us there). I was able to withstand the choppiness, but others did get sick. I was able to get a 35 minute massage on the island which was excellent. The food was good and plentiful. I miss it already.

Great experience! - Great trip! Staff was amazing and the beach was beautiful. Got sea sick on the ride over but the staff took care of me! Would highly recommend!

Beach day!! - This trip was so worth it if your looking for a day to just relax this is it. The staff is very hard working and friendly. The staff members that goes by viking and bartender Tony are the best. If we come back we will definitely go again we highly recommend this trip. Hint if get sea sick take medicine night before trip to get in your system.

Walk to Kein Curacao Island - We had an amazing time, super recommended. The place is very good and the atmosphere too. We went with my partner and we loved it. We would definitely go again. You have to go!

Great trip. - Wow!! A must do if you’re in Curaçao. My mother and I took this day trip and were so happy that we did. The staff is INCREDIBLE and FRIENDLY! The island itself is beautiful and breathtaking. My mother got sick on board and they went above and beyond to make sure she was OK. I’ll definitely be going back. Food was also good!

Klein Curacao - Long, fun day. Picked up at 615am back at 530pm. Breakfast and lunch were very good and filling. Water was perfect swimming, snorkeling was ok. Not a lot of fish but they do feed them in the afternoon and you can see lots of fish. Bring a towel, water shoes and a credit card for cocktails.

Not American friendly - Everything was great with the exception of the lead crew member making derogatory comments about Americans!!! The staff overall did not have good customer service. No tip!! I only recommend due to the destination.

Had a great time at Klein... - Had a great time at Klein with Mermaid!. The island itself is beautiful, and a must when you're in Curacao. The whole trip is organized well, and guests have access to a private beach house along with other amenities. The bbq lunch was delicious. Although alcoholic drinks are not included, they're cheap and made well. Bartender was great. The ride to the island gets a bit rough, but going back was smooth sailing. A big shout out to the amazing crew! They were great, helpful and friendly throughout the whole day. After the trip, they helped me in arranging a taxi back to my hotel when I had issues booking one. Thank you once again guys!

Way too crowded and not worth it - I’ve been on at least a dozen similar boat/private islands tours throughout the Caribbean, and this was hands down the worst. I was so excited for this day, and was so disappointed. It’s hard to be in a bad mood on a beautiful secluded island, so we made the best of it. But here is an overview of our day: - our taxi was 30 minutes late and didn’t notify me. I woke at 5:30 am while on vacation, to be waiting outside at 6:15. Maybe not your fault but this wasn’t a great start. This made us one of the last to get on the boat. - the boat was full when we got there, top and bottom. Not one seat, and no one wanted to smoosh closer to make room. I don’t blame them. They were already packed shoulder to shoulder. - the super loud club/techno music blaring at 7 am - why? Does anyone like or want that? Please turn it down and play anything else 😂 - we get there and wait in a huge crowd to get off the boat in small groups of 12 on a little dinghy. Waited a half hour just to get off. - again we’re one of the last to get on the island, and by now most palapas have been claimed. We rush to grab and drag two heavy lounge chairs to an empty palapa that just has one man under it. Politely ask if he minds if we sit with him and he rudely tells us he has a big group of 6. I look around and say, well I don’t see anyone and there’s no where else for us to sit with shade. Then another man rushes up and almost knocks me over to take the spot and says they have a group of 12, in a really mean tone. Oh, ok. My boyfriend and I move over and are in the direct sun all day. Thanks. Come to find out they’re the owners friends and family. We paid $300 to get fried in the sun all day. It was chaotic and felt like a mad rush. Can’t that be handled better? - it was close to 10 by the time we were able to eat (a very blah breakfast) and actually explore and enjoy the island. - the island is lovely, but for all the fuss we went through I wish we’d spent the day at our hotels beach or another beach in Curacao. We had to wander a ways down the beach to another boat tours palapas and put our towel under there just to relax in the shade for a bit :( thankfully that tour didn’t overbook and had palapas to spare. - snorkeling is always great but there wasn’t anything to see. - the lunch was good and drinks were cheap. The shipwrecks were cool. If the tour was kept to a reasonable number this could have been much better. Shame on the owners group who kind of ruined the day for us.
