If the weather is right - a must see! - Great experience. Greeted by Everly who couldn't have been friendlier and headed out for the whole Dark Sky package. The Planetarium portion was interesting though in this age of technology I thought it could have had a bigger wow factor. Once we headed out to the variety of telescope stations things got more interesting. Luckily the skies were clear enough to see planets... including Saturn and its rings! It was amazing. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and were so eager to impart what they know, in a language that we could understand. These people really do have their heads in the stars....and I mean that in a good way. Thanks to Tyler who really saw to it that we enjoyed the whole experience. Weather is a factor but if you can hit it right, it's a fabulous experience. Teresa and Terry M

Great Presentation! - I went with a few friends. We were greeted by William Preston who did an excellent presentation, sharing his knowledge and opportunities to learn about the world/universe we live in. Lots to learn and discover, great opportunity to see things you can’t see in many parts of the world. Great job by all the staff, but especially William Preston, who’s excellent narrative skills I would compare to that of David Attenborough.

An update to our understanding of the parts of the universe - Information was amazing and the presenter, Kayleen, made the information exciting and engaging. Only thing would like to see is near the end of the show, the screen splits and it was impossible to see both sections from our side. Would also love an additional indigenous constellation story!!! Would go again.

Better for those that know little about the night sky - If you have gone to planetarium shows before this part of the night will basically be a re-hash of what you already know. If you know nothing about the stars, then you'll probably like it a lot. I did appreciate that the presenter was enthusiastic and the addition of an indigenous elder talking about the constellations was good. I did enjoy looking at the stars through the telescopes. We had a really clear night and a basically new moon. Saturn was really crisp. I liked seeing and learning about the star clusters as I've never seen them before. I did think the telescope with the camera was cool. We asked the guy lots of questions and he moved it around quite a bit for us-most people had moved on already. Then we went onto the golf course and our guide reshowed us the clusters and how to find them with binoculars ourselves (wish I could remember now that I am home!). He also covered other stars and basic sky info. We did catch a little of the Aurora but it was low on the horizon. The whole thing is outside so dress warmly. But, while it may be a dark sky preserve, it is not nearly as dark as I had hoped. There are way too many lights still. We have been to places like Bryce Canyon and even parts of Nova Scotia and the sky is so full of stars I could not even find the big dipper.
