This experience was one... - This experience was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. Nick was a fantastic guide and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the local geology, ecology, and indigenous history. The meal was 10/10 and so much fun to cook at the top of the hike with panoramic views. If you’re thinking about it, do it- totally worth it!

Such an awesome experience! - Nic was such a great tour guide. He had so much information about things to look out for when hiking and what plants are on the trail. The cooking experience was truly so much fun! We could not have asked for a better experience. Nic also showed us all the good spots for photos and allowed us time to explore. This is definitely an experience everyone should do!

Amazing Jasper Experience1 - Lindsay was so engaging, informative and a great back country chef1 Beautiful scenery with a sunset view. Blown away that we could create an Indian buffet, including naan from scratch at the top of a mountain!

What a wonderful activity! - We are a family of 2 parents, 3 daughters in their twenties and 1 son-in-law. When we booked the tour I was a bit apprehensive since I have 2 knee replacements and I wasn’t sure whether I would make it to the peak. But Lindsey, our extremely enthusiastic guide, stopped from time to time and gave some nice-to-know bits about the Jasper fauna and flora (and rocks as she called herself a rock nerd) so that I could easily do the hike at my own pace while we were all learning a lot. At the top Lindsey started to set up everything so that we could cook a wonderful meal (we even made cheese starting from milk powder; impressive!). This really was a very nice activity that we wholeheartedly recommend. It was an extreme nature experience with an extremely nice guide (and yes, extreme was the word of the day 😉).

So cool to prepare your meal like an adventurer! - Not to be missed in Jasper! The experience is really great, the guide Lindsey is amazing and passionate about the environment. We enjoyed better understanding the different environmental ecosystems that we were passing through. The meal is also very nice. We loved preparing our naan breads and cheese in front of a magnificent panorama. The hike is not very long or very difficult, it is accessible to everyone.

MUST DO in Jasper - We are a blended family, with 3 teenagers (17, 15, 14) who did a Peak Nic in Jasper during our vacation. What. A. Great. Time!!!!!! Lindsey was our guide - picked us up as scheduled outside our hotel after we got a heads-up text prior to it. Had a delightful short ride to the trailhead where we met up with another group joining (total of 7 people on our hike + Lindsey). We split up the gear in provided backpacks, carried our own water (but she had extras we also threw in), and began the ascent. Loved how we got to stop and appreciate different growth patterns and where animals might bed down, etc. during the hike up. Lindsey was super engaging with otherwise typical teenagers, and made an effort to make sure everyone was included. Once atop the mountain, we made a choice on where to set up the 'kitchen' and got to work. I won't spoil the menu, but it was delightful and had something for everyone - the kids loved the 'science' behind it all...that'll make sense when you do it! Then we began a quick descent and were back at the trailhead. I would absolutely recommend doing this activity - the ascent was challenging but doable for the average individual, and the descent was challenging and steep in places but by no means overwhelming or difficult. I would actually consider this a MUST DO in Jasper!

Phenomenal experience! Truly a must-do! - My wife and I absolutely adored our time with Lindsay on the Peak Nic hike. It is truly one of the most unique experiences that we’ve had on our trip here in Canada. Lindsay made us feel right at home, including giving us fun tidbits about the ecology of the area. If necessary, Lindsay was going to fight a grizzly bear, bare-handed. Luckily, it didn’t come to that. But I had full confidence in her ability to best the apex predator of the Rockies. Lindsay, tell your boss that you deserve a raise!
