Incredible landscape! - This was a great trip! Amer is an excellent hiking guide. He speaks good English, is knowledgeable and friendly, and the views from the top of Moon Mountain at sunset are amazing!

A Worthwhile Half Day out of the City - It was a fun and interesting hike just an hour or so out of Jeddah. I went solo with my guide Amir. We hiked, climbed rocks, ate dates and drank coffee - a perfect half day. Amir was super friendly and knows the area well. It's moderate exertion, but if you're not comfortable there are lots of options in the area.

Amazing trek through Moon Valley and up mountain - Have been in Saudi for some years but not ventured out into desert much. Our guide Ferial, was great. Very professional and helpful. We went about an hour's drive north of Jeddah. Moon valley is an amazing desert landscape with sand, rocks and mountains. We climbed up Moon mountain and had a glorious view of the sunset (with Arabic coffee and dates!). After climbing down, could see the stars at night before heading home.

Pleasant excursion, beautiful view - We had a lovely time. Our guide Ferial was very nice, she picked us up at our hotel in Jeddah and drove us to the location about 45 min away. We walked around the area and looked at the rock formations then climbed the mountain to watch the sunset. The climb is very short (maybe 20 minutes to the top) but it is fairly aggressive, so wear good shoes and be prepared to scale some rocks. The sunset from the top was very beautiful and we got great pics.

Exceeded Expectations! Memorable, Safe & Spiritual! - The Moon Valley Hike gratefully exceeded my expectations! We hiked up to the top upon a beautiful sunset and Osama, our guide, respectfully provided a moment for us to be present and to wholly take in the surroundings. As we did this, a crisp and bright full moon revealed itself, and from sunset to moon rise, it felt like I was at one with the world. Osama was exceptional in the way that he communicated and I felt very safe with him throughout the whole experience. His infamous ‘I got you’ will forever be something I remember of him as his conviction always made me feel supported and comfortable. Thank you Abha Trips for a deeply memorable experience! I will be sure to return again to explore the South with you! Can’t wait!

Stunning Moon Valley - Abdullah our guide was very warm and welcoming, we enjoyed our conversations with him and he is an excellent hiker and climb guide. Moon Valley is beautiful and very awe-inspiring, the experience of climbing the rock and seeing sunset are memories we will cherish. We are so happy we did this with Abdullah and organised by Osama from Abha trips who we highly recommend. Things to note: it is a climb and there are places where you are scrambling up high and even need to descend on your bum as it is very steep, so you need to be ok with that. We were picked up at 4.30pm because of the heat, if we did it again we would ask to be picked up an hour earlier and take the first half hour of the climb in stronger heat as it’s a quick climb to the top otherwise and it’s a push, you also come down in the dark with a headlamp so again, you just need to be ok with that. And if you are ok with all that, then do it, it’s a truly incredible experience!
