• Jeju Stone Park - The Stone Culture Park is a museum and ecological park that thoroughly and systematically showcases Jeju’s stone culture, known as the land of stones. The exhibition hall was completed and opened on June 3, 2006, after seven years of construction. The Stone Culture Park, where visitors can explore Jeju’s stone culture in one location, is expansive, so a leisurely visit is recommended. Situated in front of Oreum, a unique natural heritage of Jeju, the park’s entrance is reached by following a castle-like structure made of stacked stones, offering a refreshing view of the surroundings.

Upon entering and following the viewing path, visitors will encounter various stone sculptures inspired by the tale of Seolmundae Halmang and her son, General Oh Baek. Interestingly, the museum is located underground rather than above ground.

• Sangumburi Crater - Jeju Sangumburi Crater is a parasitic volcanic crater of Hallasan Mountain and is the only submerged volcano on Jeju Island.

The crater’s outer circumference is 2,067m, the inner circumference is 756m, and its depth ranges from 100-146m, forming a conical cliff with a floor area of about 8,000 pyeong. The crater rarely emitted lava; instead, a deep hole was created by an explosion, scattering material in all directions with only a small amount accumulating nearby. Although the crater’s diameter and depth exceed those of Baeknokdam, water does not accumulate but flows out to the sea through the basalt gravel layer of the crater wall. Such a crater is called a maar, and Sangumburi Crater is unique in Korea, with only a few found in Japan and Germany worldwide.

• Seopjikoji - Seopjikoji is a beach that gained fame when Korean actors Lee Byung-hun and Song Hye-kyo filmed a drama there.

At the top of Seopjikoji, visitors can easily see the tuff along with the stunning scenery of the open sea and rape flower fields. At the hill’s summit is a lighthouse fire station built of volcanic rock, standing 4 m high and 9 m in diameter. Behind Bonghwa Fire Station is Byeonghwa Oreum, filled with red soil. The white lighthouse on the cone stands out in contrast.
At Seopjikoji, visitors can take pictures while leaving the parking lot. Upon reaching the lighthouse, they can climb it to admire the sea’s majesty or capture a photo to commemorate the visit.

Continuing along the coastal road past the lighthouse, visitors will reach the coastal road. There is no need to return to the starting point, as a taxi will be waiting. On clear days, visitors can also observe the women divers at work.

• Seongsan Ilchulbong - Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is a World Natural Heritage site, and it takes about an hour for a round trip to climb and descend.

Standing at 182 m tall, Seongsan means a mountain resembling a castle, while Ilchulbong refers to the peak where the sun rises.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak also features a haenyeo performance, which can be viewed. These performances occur twice daily at 2:00 PM, though they may be canceled in bad weather.

Seongsan Ilchulbong was formed when lava erupted from the seabed, rose high, and then solidified. There are 99 stone pillars on the fortress’s outer wall, resembling a crown descending from the sky. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the top from the ticket office. Climbing Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak allows visitors to experience the grandeur of nature.

• Haenyeo Museum - The Jeju Haenyeo Museum is located in a fishing village overlooking the white sandy beach in Sehwa-ri, Gujwa-eup. It showcases materials related to the ocean, fishing villages, folklore, and fishing, with a focus on Jeju’s haenyeo culture, which dates back to ancient times. All exhibits inside and outside the museum were donated by haenyeo. The exhibition hall also features a donated and relocated haenyeo’s house, with detailed displays of food culture, childrearing, semi-urban farming, and Yeongdeunggut culture. The 7-minute video is highly recommended.

The haenyeo’s skill is acquired through long-term training and experience. Typically, from the age of 8, they learn to swim and dive in the village’s shallow waters, becoming baby haenyeo around the age of 15. Haenyeo’s work requires a high level of skill, as they must hold their breath and work for over a minute while enduring strong water pressure at depths of 15m.

• Woljeongri Beach - At Woljeong-ri Beach, visitors can enjoy a walk on the beach and take photos for memories. There are numerous cafes along the beach road, making it a great spot for a coffee break.

At Woljeong Beach, visitors can take jumping photos or enjoy tea at one of the many cafes.

• Dongmun Market - Explore Jeju’s traditional markets, offering a variety of food and a glimpse into the lives of Jeju residents. Discover the unique market experience only found in Jeju, and observe the bustling life of Jeju, revealing aspects not seen in other travel destinations.
• Seongeup Folk Village - This village has been home to people living in traditional thatched houses since ancient times. Historically, Seongeup Village was the center of Jeju, where horses and cattle were sent to the king and central government. Visitors can explore the traditional thatched houses for free and see a traditional toilet.

In Seongeup Folk Village, take a stroll along the stone wall alley to observe the lifestyle of Jeju residents. Visitors can also experience wearing Hanbok in Seongeup Village.

• Hamdeok Seoubong Beach - Among the many beaches on Jeju Island, the three with the most beautiful ocean colors are Hyeopjae, Gimnyeong, and Hamdeok. The water is clear and shallow, making it an ideal vacation spot for families. The west side of the beach is connected by a cloud bridge, allowing visitors to experience walking on the ocean.

The lawn is perfect for picnicking, and the walking path offers a safe way to enjoy the ocean even at night, attracting visitors year-round. In particular, it is open at night during the summer, allowing visitors to enjoy Jeju’s blue nights by the ocean.

Seoubong, located nearby, offers a picturesque landscape in every season, with yellow rapeseed flowers in spring and lush greenery in summer.
