Highlights
  • Hyeopjae Beach - Hyeopjae Beach (협재해수욕장) is located on the west side of Hanrim-eup and is part of Hanrim Park. The beautiful white color of the sand comes from the large amounts of crushed seashells that have been mixed in with the sand. The long seashore stretches for 9 km and has cobalt-colored seawater and evergreen forests scattered around the vicinity, making the scenery very beautiful. Just off the beach is Biyangdo Island. - Hallim Park - It is a theme park comprised of nine themes, including a subtropical botanical garden, bonsai garden, folk village, palm tree road, cave, bird safari, pond garden, senior exhibition hall, and outdoor walking trail. It is also a place where you can see various flowers that can be seen in Jeju every month. World-famous figures, including former Chinese Prime Minister Jiang Zemin and former Japanese Prime Minister Nakasone, have visited. It is a world-famous attraction visited by more than 1 million domestic and foreign visitors every year. - Cheonjeyeon Falls - It was named Cheonjeyeon because the fairies of the Jade Emperor came down here at night to take a bath. The rock cave next to Cheonjeyeon, where the first waterfall falls, has water colder than ice flowing down from the ceiling. Since ancient times, many people have said that if you drink this water on the Baekjung and Cheoseo days, you can cure all diseases. They flocked. Cheonjeyeon forms a clear pond all year round with living water pouring out between the cliff and the clay layer below. Cheonjeyeon Valley is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Jungmun Complex and is a natural subtropical forest zone, so it is designated and protected as one of the Hallasan Mountain Natural Reserves. The dampalsu tree growing naturally under the cliff west of the first waterfall is designated and protected as a Jeju Island monument. - Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - UNESCO Geopark. Jeju Jungmun and Daepo Coast’s columnar joints are an important geological resource that can be used to study and observe the geological phenomenon that occurs when basalt lava solidifies and the coastal landform development process due to subsequent sea erosion, and is a place with outstanding academic value and scenery. - Camellia Hill - Hydrangea festival. Camellia Hill is a camellia arboretum that was created on a 172,000-square-meter plot of land in Sangchang-ri, Jeju-do. The arboretum is home to 6,000 camellia trees of 500 different species including species that are known to produce the world’s largest and earliest blossoms. In addition to camellia trees, the arboretum also boasts palm trees, wildflowers, and other plants as well as a sprawling grass plaza and an ecological pond. Auxiliary facilities include a gallery exhibiting camellia-themed crafts and a multipurpose seminar room. Camellia Hill also offers a variety of lodging facilities ranging from thatched-roof cottages and wooden cabins to steel houses and a condominium-type resort. - O’sulloc Tea Museum - O’sulloc Tea Museum, located next to O’sulloc’s Seogwang Tea Planation in Jeju, was opened by Amore Pacific in 2001 with the aim of introducing and spreading Korean teas and the traditional tea culture of Korea. The museum is a cultural space where the West and the East, and modernity and tradition coexist in harmony. The museum has a tea gallery, an eco-friendly rest area, and a cafe where visitors can enjoy a variety of tasty tea-based desserts.
