Highlights
  • Manjanggul Lava Tube - From Downtown (your accommodation) to Manjanggul Cave, it takes 1 hour. This is the world’s largest known lava tube formed by volcanic activity. You can experience the grandeur of a landscape that feels like an underground world. The particularly exquisite Stone Turtle, which resembles Jeju Island, is especially popular. If Manjanggul Lava Tube is closed (the first Wednesday of every month), the Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be an alternative tour option. Duration: 60 minutes. From Manjanggul Cave to Woljeongri Beach, it takes 15 minutes.
  • Jeju Stone Park - Jeju Stone Culture Park is a historical and cultural space that showcases the stone culture, Seolmundae Halmang myth, and folk traditions that are the foundation of Jeju’s creation and human culture. The legend of Seolmundae Halmang, the goddess who created Jeju Island, and the five generals is depicted through various stone artifacts and materials on the 300,000 pyeong wide Gotjawal land. It was designed as a place where both residents and tourists can directly experience and view the lifestyle of Jeju’s people through exhibitions. By highlighting Jeju’s identity, locality, and artistry, the park reveals Tamna’s formation process, mythology, history, and folk culture. The aim is to create a beautiful educational space organized by era to pass on to future generations, a belief that the planner of Stone Culture Park has always held.
  • Seongeup Folk Village - The entire village, which preserves the living site of old Jeju’s people, has been designated as an Important Folklore Cultural Heritage. Unlike typical folk villages, people still live here today. The village residents volunteer as guides to provide visitors with various information. The Saw-leaf Zelkova and Japanese hackberry trees in the center of the village are worth seeing. You can also experience wearing Hanbok, a traditional Korean costume, at Jeju Folk Village.
  • Seopjikoji - A short drive from Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak takes you to Cape Seopjikoji. The name comes from the Jeju dialect for a “Cape of Small Land” due to its unique cliff formation that juts into the ocean. The picturesque harmony of the hill and ocean attracts tourists year-round. You might even see Jeju ponies grazing on the grassy fields. Walking northeast along the cliff, you’ll reach Bulgeunoreum Parasitic Cone, offering a stunning view of a white lighthouse against the dark blue sea. Other notable attractions at Cape Seopjikoji include the Glasshouse and Yumin Art Gallery, two masterpieces designed by world-renowned architect Ando Tadao, which blend remarkably well with the surrounding nature.
  • Seongsan Ilchulbong - Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a landmark of Jeju, was formed about 5,000 years ago from an underwater volcanic eruption. It is especially famous as a sunrise viewing spot, known as one of the top ten scenic views of Jeju Island. Besides watching the sunrise, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is also a great trekking spot. The Seongsan-Ojo Trail connects two villages by crossing the peak, while the Jijil Trail offers a closer look at the UNESCO-designated geopark and Jeju’s local culture. Walking along these paths is recommended to fully experience the area; reaching the summit provides views of both the vast volcanic crater and the surrounding blue ocean. To complete your visit, head to Seongsanpo Port to watch haenyeo (female divers) at work.
  • Haenyeo Museum - Jeju haenyeo are the strong mothers and spiritual pillars of Jeju residents. The life of the Jeju haenyeo community serves as a model for humanity. Jeju haenyeo formed a merit-based community and made democratic decisions through discussions. They cared for the elderly and infirm, raised funds to contribute to society, and invented various tools to coexist with the sea. Jeju haenyeo culture was recognized for its value and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016.
  • Hamdeok Beach - Walking along Jeju Olle Course 19, you will come across Hamdeok Beach, which has an emerald jewel. Located in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, it is also known as ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ because of Seoubong Peak next to the beach. Just 20 km from Jeju Airport, it feels like another world upon arrival. The tall palm trees, emerald sea contrasting with white sand, clear water, and white waves make even the sand and seaweed transparent. Among Jeju Island’s many beaches, Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach are known for their beautiful sea colors. The clear, shallow water makes it a great summer spot for families. The west side of the beach is connected by an overpass, allowing you to walk on the sea.

Great & fun experience! - Hongmin Lee was the best guide! He was informative, knowledgeable, professional and fun! He did such a great job driving us and showing us around the island. We went to some of the most beautiful places in Jeju. He gave us plenty of time to explore and accommodated our itinerary to what we wanted to do and see. He also took awesome photos of us, which we really appreciated. If you get Hongmin Lee as your guide in Jeju, you are lucky and will not be disappointed. Thank you Mr. Lee!

Great tour despite heavy rain - The tour guide was very efficient, polite and responsive to our requests. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t cover much but still enjoyed the beautiful sites. We were family of 6 and the van was spacious, clean and accommodated us comfortably. The guide had a nice itinerary planned for us since we only had a half day because we were on a cruise stop. When we asked to change our plans he suggested great options to make sure we were on time to be back on the ship. He brought us to a great local bbq restaurant where we had delicious Korean lunch. Also when I asked where to buy Korean skincare products he brought us to a small mall where I found everything I needed. The guide also took many pics of us which he sent to our WhatsApp account instantly. He also provided umbrellas since it was raining cats and dogs which was very thoughtful. We had a nice time despite the heavy rain. Thank you 🙏.

Beautiful Jeju-do. - We enjoyed a great time on the Jeju Island Private Tour - Unesco Day Tour & Haenyeo Performance from Jeju Namyang Travel out of Seowipo-si. Mr. Ko (Ko Su Hong) was an excellent driver, guide and friend. He made sure we were able to see everything on our list and suggested a great Korean BBQ restaurant. The Seonsan Ilchulbong, Seongeup Village, Jeongbong Waterfall, Oedolage and Olle Market were very entertaining. We were happy and he was happy! Mr. Lee (Lee Hong Min), the Manager at Namyang was very helpful and understanding for all of our arrangements and questions. A very professional company that is highly recommended. Thank you so much, Gentlemen!

Great intro to Jeju island. - Great introduction to the island and many of the beautiful hikes. We walked over 10 km going to all the trails the driver took us. The driver was very helpful, speaks English but does not tour with you. He was very helpful during lunch. All entry fees are not included but it is clearly stated so no problem. Highly recommend for introduction.

Wonderful Jeju, Amazing Guide! - Mr Lee is a wonderful guide who became our friend by the end of our 5 day stay in Jeju. He was introduced by my cousin, and we totally leave our entire itinerary in Jeju to him to plan. On our first day of arrival, we just want to roam around our hotel area. As it was raining when we arrived, and it was not check in time yet, Mr Lee was kind enough to call up the hotel after picking us up from the airport to request for early check-in. And before he dropped us at the hotel, he drove around the area to orientate us, recommended several nice eateries. And indeed, we had a very sumptuous and delicious Korean BBQ Black pork at a restaurant he recommended. For the next few days, he was constantly checking the weather (from traffic cctv, to his contacts) to ensure that we visit places which are not affected by the weather. As such, we managed to cover many beautiful sites despite unfavorable weather during our visit. He also brough us to eateries where only local will go to so that we can have a taste of authentic Jeju cuisine. It was certainly part of the entire package to truly experience Jeju. Mr Lee was jovial, and joked a lot with us along the way, making the entire journey very pleasant. And as mentioned by some other reviewers, he never fails to take initiatives to take photos for us. Not just simple photos, but very artistic ones where he position himself in awkward positions, to get the best angle. He even checked on us to ensure that we are alright when we flew back to Seoul for the remaining part of our holidays. Thank you so much Mr Lee! You've made our stay in Jeju very memorable.

Re-visiting amazing Jeju with Namyang Travel - This was my second visit to Korea with my family along with my buddy's fam. And this also happens to be my second time engaging Mr. Lee as our driver/tour guide for Jeju. After 9 long years, we are so happy to see his big friendly smiley face again. With him around, we were treated with the nicest of food, great scenic places and plentiful of happy and interesting conversation about life and history about Jeju, which created loads of wonderful moments especially for our kids. We did a customized tour with him, knowing where we want to go in advance. However, you can be assured he will be able to provide you an unforgettable experience if you happen to be a first-time visitor. Mr. Lee is a sincere, humble and down-to-earth person whom try to please you as much as he can to make your trip memorable.
