Full day trip advisor Christian tour - We enjoyed a well organised tour. It was very informative and well planned. We visited all the places that were listed on the tour, and Giora, our guide added in a couple of extra visits for us, including the Jordan baptismal site. This was a very welcome surprise. Giora was an excellent guide who gave us much detail of where we were and what we were passing, this came from his knowledge as a native Israeli. We appreciated him and his excellent driver very much. If there was one thing we could suggest it would be to have Biblical readings at the appropriate sites.

Our guide Ido was both friendly and... -
Our guide Ido was both friendly and knowledgeable. He also needed to talk in Spanish as well as English as one couple was from Colombia. We mentioned the areas we were interested in and he organised the tour to meet our needs. Having a smaller tour vehicle allowed us to drive to the top of Mt Tabor making it easier. Driving to Nazareth Ido was able to give us first hand knowledge as his parents came from near the Jordan river. Stopping for lunch at the Abu Khaled restaurant was a pleasant surprise as the food was delicious and keenly priced. The local attractions of the church of annunciation and Joseph the carpenter were interesting. Driving to the Galilee was special as visiting Tagbha and Capernaum the highlight. Peters house was facinating and we could stroll beside the sea of Galilee. The trip home to Tel Aviv was lengthy due to traffic issues but Ido was up to the job.
We would definately recommend this trip to others.

Full Day Christian Tour - Our driver was extremely late in picking us up that I had to ring the emergency number supplied to check if it at all he was coming. He eventually arrived. We were so relieved to see him. He apologised for being late and stated that it was due to the fact that he had been given the wrong hotel to pick up the other couple whom were joining us from Jerusalem. We got started with our journey/ trip. Our first stop was the Church of Transfiguration Mount Tabor. It was amazing to enter the church and to be at the site where it is traditionally believed that Jesus was transfigured and spoke with the prophet Moses and Elijah. We were able to do our prayers and see also the amazing view of the Jezreel Valley. From there we visited Nazareth to see the church of Annunciation where the angel Gabriel informed Mary that she would bear a child. We also visited the Church of St Joseph where Joseph did his carpentry. Underneath the church is a synagogue where Jesus preached and studied. Our guide did not want to take us to Mount of Beatitudes because he thought that it was not part of the itinerary, but after speaking to his tour manager he agreed, but unfortunately it was closed, so was Tabgha the site of the multiplication of the loaves. Better luck next time. We visited Capernaum the Town of Jesus as our final stop. Thank God it was open. We were able to visit and see the remains of the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached and areas where he performed various miracles. We also saw the statue of Peter holding the key to the Kingdom of heaven as well as the house of Peter and the church built above Peter's house. We enjoyed all the sites we were able to see and the amazing views and history. We hope to book with Viator again to visit Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha on our next visit to israel. We would like to thank our tour guide for giving us a wonderful and memorable experience on this trip.

Good way to see the sites quickly - The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and it was great to see all of these sites in one day. I would have liked a bit more time at each site to stop and pray; it was a bit hard as a religious person to see other groups saying the rosary, etc. and I felt like we were constantly being rushed back on the bus. But if you have limited time to see these places while in Israel, this is a good way to do it.

I wont give this tour a 5 rating... -
I wont give this tour a 5 rating only because I didnt realize that wed be spending our time visiting a lot of Catholic churches that were built on top of historical sites. For some people thats exactly what they want but I didnt come to Israel to visit Catholic churches so maybe that should be made a little more clear in the tour information. Unfortunately Ive discovered that many of the tours are like that. Also, I would have also liked to have had a few moments in some of the more significant sites just to reflect a little bit on that significance but time constraints didnt allow for it. Beyond those two things our guide was excellent and had a wealth of knowledge and experience. I learned a great deal about the history of the various areas we visited. Overall it was a very good tour.

While this was a very good tour and... -
While this was a very good tour and our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of the tour group members, the number of places to visit was rather ambitious for the amount of time available and size of the geographic area to be covered. We would give the guide five stars for what we learned from him, we kept the overall tour rating at four stars because of there being so much to see in just one day.

Guide needs to speak better Spanish - The guide's Spanish is not completely understandable, many of us lost track of where we were or the history of the place because he did not know how to convey it, it was only historical data but not well put together and it became boring. The worst thing is that even though there were only 10 of us, I was alone, we stopped at a store that he recommended for souvenirs because they always have a commission, he didn't say how long we should be there and he left without me! Without telling me that he was leaving, when I was paying at the cashier, when I left the store he was no longer there, and despite his colleagues telling him that I was missing, he left me. Fortunately I found the bus driver by chance and I was able to reach him because he spoke to him on the phone to locate him. Later he got upset with another colleague and although he apologized, it is necessary to be clear so that they know what could happen to them.

NO recommended - The guide came to the pick up point 1 hour late. He sold us an optional tour of boat trip of Galilee Lake at 49 US dollar. I was not interested in it and did not join, and I had to spend 1 hour by the lake. The guide made many mistakes in the explanation of the Bible. The lunch time was 17:00 and we were brought to an isolated restaurant, where expensive St. Peter's fish was the only choice. I expected to visit Christian holy sites and spend more time. I did not enjoy this tour.

incomplete tour due to business on the side - The tour started normal heading galilee, but at the time of the first bathroom stop we were offered a side trip boat ride in to galilee sea, to be paid in cash $30 per person(45 min ride), we made clear to the guide that we wanted to see all the sites described in the itinerary and that we did not wanted to sacrifice anything for the boat; he say yes and we agree and pay to him the extra money; then we started to get rushed; we went 3 minutes to the multiplication church and the explanation was this is the mosaic, also rushed in Capernaum ruins (10 minutes) because we will be late for the boat; after the boat we head for Nazareth to eat in a place called Casanova and it was not good we were charged 100 shakels per person on a horrible food; after lunch we headed to the nativity church to visit the other places listed on the itinerary, unfortunately the tour guide started to say that we were too late and that mt tabor church was already closed, and that we will not see mt tabor, he offered to take us to Jericho city, that we visited in a previous tour, but everyone else say that was ok and we had no choice but to go Jericho again. This was not nice experience, our Tour was incomplete because the Tour Guide decided to do some money on the side and at the end required a minimum tip per person, this action was totally unprofessional and we want our money back.
