Dead Sea - The Dead Sea is an endorheic lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley, a geographic feature formed by the Dead Sea Transform (DST). This left lateral-moving transform fault lies along the tectonic plate boundary between the African Plate and the Arabian Plate. It runs between the East Anatolian Fault zone in Turkey and the northern end of the Red Sea Rift offshore of the southern tip of Sinai. It is here that the Upper Jordan River/Sea of Galilee/Lower Jordan River water system comes to an end.

Fantastic tour with an excellent tour guide - would book it again every time i am at place - The trip to Bethlehem on 9/20 2023, with the visit to the Shepherd's Field, the Church of the Nativity, the Milk Grotto, the tour of the old town of Bethlehem and the subsequent trip to the Dead Sea with the opportunity to swim is one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip to Israel. In particular, the tour guide Elias enriched the trip extraordinarily from a human and intellectual perspective. Elias knows how to impart historical knowledge in a perfect way, but never forgetting the humor in the seriousness of the topics. An unforgettable encounter. I would book exactly this trip again every time I visit Israel, always on the condition that Elias is available as a tour guide in Bethlehem. Thanks a lot for this wonderful day to a fair prize.

Best of both worlds Tour - This tour from Elijah Tours and Travel lives up to it's many 5* reviews... it was everything we expected when I booked it. The organization, the scheduling, the transport, and the stops were all perfect. It wasnt a huge group, which was very nice. Our guide was for Bethlehem was "Elias" and he was very very good. He sprinkled in humor (Saint Elias) and he kept the group moving at a very steady pace...keeping stragglers (Ann---na!) in check. His local knowledge as a Palestinian Christian was quite illuminating. He did not shy away from alternative views from other people on the tour...and I respect him greatly for that. This is a very active tour...lots of walking...especially in the old section of Bethlehem. (which was what we hoped for) One caveat...better have a good bladder on this one....it was hot and lots of water was necessary. Go at every stop...and grab that extra falafel...thank me later. The Dead Sea part was for us-- perfect. You really only need a couple hours here. Lockers are cheap, bring a towel. The floating experience and the warm mud was incredible. I wasnt aware of the all the warnings about the water and its potential toxicity...so read the literature and keep your face and ears out of the water. Make sure and verify departure time from here...dont be rushing from the well stocked Dead Sea bar to the lot when its time to leave like we were :) lol Thanks R

Awesome trip - Elias was a wonderful guide in Bethlehem! He was very knowledgeable and great at keeping our tour together. He would answer questions and explain the history and local culture. Loved free time at Dead Sea.

Jesus & the salty water! - Had a great time with my older parents even when I had to translate all the information for them. The guide was knowledgeable and nice. The tour is very well organized and we learned a lot about Bethlehem, we even saw the original Banksy, and then we finished the day at the Dead Sea.

Once in a lifetime experience! - Went during off season and on a Sunday and was able to get into all Churches and Caves! Amazing tour guide, very accommodating and knowledgeable! Good amount of time in car if going to Dead Sea too (we stayed in tel aviv-this defs added time- not too bad though) but get to stop at Jordan River on the way home!

Worth it! - Best part was Bethlehem. Guide was very informative and interesting to listen. We really enjoyed it. I would truly recommend this tour. Note for churches that you have to cover knees and shoulders, both men and women. Dead sea is ok to see, and to experience floating.
