Turmi - Today, anticipate your arrival at Jinka airport, where the tours team will be eagerly waiting for you at the airport’s exit. You will then travel to the Key Afer local market to experience the vibrant cultures of the Benna, Hammer, and Tsemay tribes. This promises to be an enriching cultural experience as these tribes come together in a lively exhibition. Enjoy learning from the guide about the cultural significance of these tribes, capture vibrant photos of their unique aesthetics, and engage personally with the tribe members.

Next, spend the day in the charming village of Turmi, home to the Hamer people, for a deeper cultural immersion. Food stops will be made according to your preferences throughout the day.

Drive from Turmi - Karo / Kara Tribe - Jinka

Turmi - After arriving in Turmi, enjoy lunch at your leisure. You may then visit a tribal market on market days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday) to explore unique relics and ornaments that reflect the tribes’ rich history.

Jinka - On the return journey to Jinka, you have the option to attend a tribal ceremonial event, such as the Hamar Bull Jumping Ceremony or the Evangadi Dancing Ceremony, both of which offer a thrilling glimpse into traditional African culture. Finally, enjoy a scenic 130 km (2-hour) drive back to Jinka.

Drive from Jinka – Mago – Jinka – Departure

Mago National Park - Embark on an early morning excursion to the renowned Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of Ethiopia’s most fascinating ethnic groups, living in low huts made of straw leaves. The women are known for wearing terra cotta on their stretched lower lips and ear lobes. Capture unique photos as your guide facilitates your interactions with them. As time allows, you may also spot or drive past some of the park’s incredible wildlife.

Jinka - Return to Jinka airport for your departure flight back to Addis Ababa, or as per your arrangements. This concludes the tour.
