- The Colonnaded Street - We will walk downhill 850 steps from the monastery to the ancient Market place of petra (the colonnaded Street).

The Royal Tombs - From the Colonnaded Street
We will start walking on the main trail to over view all the royal tombs and watching the great view of the amphitheatre from above the front mountain . -
Al-Khazneh - This is where our tour ends up after hiking around 10km .
Here we will explore the most beautiful facade in petra (the treasury ).
Note: The remaining time is for the round tour and time spending in sightseeing or explorations.

Absolutely amazing ! - Our tour with Bassil was incredible ! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed and appreciated all the information Bassil shared with us. Thanks to him, we discovered a lot about Petra and its origin, Jordan people and culture. If you have to choose one tour in Petra pick this one ! You will take the back entrance road which is less touristic and you will see all the treasures of the antic city from a different view.

A must donwith Bassil! - 100% recommend booking this tour with Bassil. It was an amazing experience that we will remember forever. The trek from the back door is breathtaking and builds on the experience of Petra. Bassil was absolutely fantastic, very kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending the day with him. Jordan has been an incredible experience for us and this tour was definitely a highlight.

Absolute best way to get to the Monastery - I chose this experience since I knew I wanted to go in the back entrance to Petra and it already had excellent reviews. Bassil was my guide and he is amazing. I’m pretty slow and even though this is the easier route, it’s no joke with that sun shining hard on you. (But listen, there were young kids and people older than me doing this too, lol) Bassil was so patient with me. He explained what we were seeing along the way. Overall an amazing experience I highly recommend. And if you come in the back way, you don’t have to turn around and hike all the way back to the front. Phew! If any safety concerns about Jordan, please know it is very safe. As a solo female traveler, I had no qualms about coming back here. Jordanian people are friendly, welcoming, generous, and the hospitality can’t be beat.

Petra backdoor tour - One the most memorable experiences, I would recommend the backdoor hike with Bassil. He informative and we went off the beaten track and saw so many more sights than just the treasury and monastery. I would definitely recommend

The right way to see all of Petra! - Bassil was obviously the right choice — I think he knows everyone in Petra and greater Wadi Musa! This makes for a great experience beyond the hike through the back door as you meet many other local people and learn the history of the Nabataean city. This hike is absolutely recommended, as it is a nicer way to walk through all of Petra back to the visitor center without having to circle back after a long day. You can enjoy more sites along the way, keep an easy relaxed pace, and stop for lunch or tea as you wish. Bassil was a fountain of knowledge but also fun and generous with his time. We learned so much about Petra and he gave us priceless recommendations. We cannot recommend him more….enjoy!

This tour is the best way... - This tour is the best way to experience Petra. We were able to experience a hike most tourists don’t get to and were able to see the Monastery with only a few other tourists. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew places to show us that we would not have seen otherwise. He was very kind and hospitable. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a true Petra experience!

One of the best keep secrets - I found the people of Petra, and actually throughout Jordan, to be friendly, kind and most hospitable. Add to that a knowledge, fluent and accommodating guide and you get an outstanding experience. I have travel to every continent, travel almost 6 million miles visiting 70 countries, and the experience with my guide in Petra ranks at the top.
