10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ amazing tour - Cannot recommend this tour enough! Marlon was an amazing guide and chef. He has worked in several restaurants and was excited to share Guatemalan cuisine with me. We cooked on a beautiful rooftop terrace with views of the surrounding mountains and volcanos. The food was such a great way to learn more about Mayan and Guatemalan cuisine and I appreciated all the insight Marlon shared about the history and Ingredients. He was also kind enough to help me practice my very broken Spanish by helping me learn new Spanish words 🩷

Cooking with Cuscun - My partner and I loved the ability to have a personalized tour with Dario. He was patient, humorous, and charismatic and very willing to answer all our questions about produce, animals, and cooking. We made a delicious jocon, practiced our Spanish, and enjoyed seeing new views outside of just exploring Antigua.

Couple experience - We happened to be the only two people on this tour, which made it an amazing and intimate experience. Our tour guide Dario expertly adjusted the vibe of the tour by making it more friendly rather than a "tour" per se, and we ended up enjoying lots of hours getting to know each other and Antigua & Guatemala. The food we made actually ended up being very tasty as well, and we greatly appreciated the experience this added to our time. Highly recommend!

A great peek into local culture and cuisine - Pamela was really informative about local cuisine, culture, and history during the market tour. Dario was hilarious and gave easy to follow instructions. We had to much fun learning the local cuisine, and he also gave great dining recommendations in Antigua.

An Excellent Experience! - I did both the market tour and cooking with Dario, who was a great guide and instructor. The market is a rabbit warren of vendors selling everything you can imagine, from fruit, vegetables, and meat to clothing and shoes! It was a great cultural experience. After a fun tuk-tuk ride, we arrived at the cooking school, where our little group prepared and ate a delicious meal on the rooftop kitchen with views of the mountains and volcanoes. Then, I had another tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel. All in all, this was just excellent and great fun! Highly recommended!

Such a great experience!... - Such a great experience! I first toured the market with Dario and he was so informative and I got to learn about some of the Guatemalan traditions. When we got to the school Pamela taught us how to make DELICIOUS Guatemalan food. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this cooking class.

Cuscun cooking class, Antigua, Guatemala - This was among the best cooking classes I have attended. It began with a guided tour of the food market labyrinth with chef/host Dario, and then we proceeded to the home where guests got their hands on every step of the prep and cooking. For each course, the various tasks were divided among the guests around a large prep table laden with the ingredients, and the chef then showed us how to make the magic happen in the assembly. For an appetizer, we made dobladas, a hand-made corn tortilla filled with spiced mashed potato and fried, then topped with chopped radish, onion, mint, and lime juice. The main course was pepián, a spicy chicken stew with carrots, potatoes, tomatillos, and green squash, served over rice. For dessert, we made rellenitos, mashed plantains filled with Mexican chocolate then fried. Guests are picked up at their Antigua address and driven to the chef’s house in a nearby village. The kitchen is on the third floor, with a terrace for dining with volcano views.

Great Food - Food was great. Leave out the market part. Half of the artesian markets were closed. I have nothing more to say.
