"Immersive Village Safari: A Glimpse into Rural Life" - Dear Mr. Chhotaram, Thank you very much for organizing such a wonderful village safari. It was a heartwarming experience to connect with the local culture and people. The hospitality we received from Mr. Ashok made the journey even more special and memorable. I'll definitely recommend in my network who will come for Jodhpur sightseeing. Best regards, Brij

A wonderful window into the villages of Rajasthan - Our tour with Mr Ashok was one of the best experiences in Jodhpur. Lost in the city, we usually forget to experience the true flavour of Rajasthan. Our day was filled with spotting interesting endemic flora and fauna while surrounded by peacocks. The activities that he acquainted us with such as block printing and pottery truly amazed me. It was not staged at all. We visited houses of local artisans and saw them create art. We visited his own house where his family works as weavers and saw how beautifully they bring such art forms to life. Followed by this his wife put before us one of the most delicious and true flavours of Rajasthan for lunch. I can never forget the taste of that curry and bajre ki roti. It was a wholesome trip which dominated the first half of the day. The weather was pleasant which added to the beauty. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go beyond the city and explore what a Rajasthani village feels like. The warm hospitality of Mr Ashok, his knowledge about Rajasthan and his multilingual nature make him one of the best guides in the city.

Amazing day meeting the Salawas tradition - Amazing day by hand of Chhotaram, he took us to the traditional places where they grow food, do the ceramics, cook and do their traditional interlocked weaving and many other interesting cultural activities to learn the old ways. We finished into his house having a traditional meal with his family and the flavours of the area. Don’t miss buying a Durry, only 40 families left doing this amazing craftmanship!

You must do this! - By far the best experience we have had on our trip! We were picked up at 8am for a safari geep tour to the Bishnois villages. We saw gazelle, deer and peacocks on the way. First we met a lovely family who explained the ceremonial ritual and through our guide told us fantastic stories. We were lucky enough to be here at the start of Holi festival so they were painting their floors in anticipation. We then drove to a potter who showed us how they make clay pots to hold water and other items they make, how they kiln them on an open kiln. It was so interesting and finally our wonderful guide, Chotaram took us to his house where his parents showed us their weaving. We had lunch made by Chotoram's wife in their house. The love the family have for one another and the natural laughter between them was infectious. If we ever come to Jodhpur again, we will definitely stay at their home stay. The food was out of this world and we learnt so much from Chotoram. He even bought us a delicious sugar cane drink to try on our arrival back into the city! Honestly, I cannot recommend him enough. A genuinely lovely man, full of interesting knowledge and a great horrible history lesson you do not receive from other guides! We loved every minute of it!

A unique cultural tour - We didn’t know exactly what to expect from this tour but really turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Our guide Chhotuh was waiting for us at the pickup point in a jeep as advertised. Chhotuh was a perfect guide. He is from the Bishnoi village so really is the perfect guide with intimate knowledge that was so interesting to learn about their customs and life. Chhotuh’s wife cooked us traditional foods over an open fire. Although there was cutlery, Chhotu showed me how to eat with hands only which is an experience and surprisingly practical. This really is a great day - highly recommended!

The most beautiful experience of our tour to Rajasthan - It was the best experience we had during our three-week trip to India. Our guide was courteous, kind and shared a glimpse of his habits and family life with us. It was really nice to try modeling ceramics, see the skill in transforming a scarf of over 9 meters into a turban in a few seconds, eat a healthy and really good meal in a family atmosphere, we even saw a rare blue antelope. There are many other things that have made us understand the beauty of a life that respects animals and nature, an escape from the chaos and pollution of the city in a clean and quiet countryside. A nice breath of fresh air. Thank you thank you!

Don’t book with this tour company! - Had to cancel due to a medical condition. Asked for a refund as the tour had already took the money from my bank card. Was told by the organiser I’d be refunded. Still have not received this refund.
