Great food and even better vibes! - Great tour guides they were knowledgeable and personable! The food was top tier! We were not disappointed. I didn’t realize that this tour included a maboneng art tour. That was a great component.

Amazing food and guides! - We went for the food tour with Eunice and Murendeni and we had a great time! Their mix of humour and knowledge was perfect, and we saw many great places and were told interesting stories. The food was amazing, and we highly reccomend this tour to everyone wanting to try different and unique foods, aswell as exploring a cool part of Jburg! 10/10

Better than Expected! - We enjoyed ourselves immensely! The foods, the sights and the conversations were wonderful. There were only four of us on the tour-my wife and I, along with a mother and daughter who were traveling separately from us. We ate delicious foods from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Our guide was awesome, making changes on the go, such as the last restaurant which was scheduled to be Egyptian food was very loud and he was able to find us a great South African restaurant in minutes. He was even able to procure some wine for us. We loved every part of the tour.

Great experience - M the driver was great. He communicated with us on what time he would be at our hotel and what he was driving. Joe our guide was very good at explaining the different areas we walked through. The food and beer was great and different. I would recommend to anyone looking to see new cultures.

Marginal - Food in Johannesburg is often high quality and relatively inexpensive. This was neither. Food was mediocre at best. Mostly leftovers w no fresh options. Beer wasn’t easily offered and a group of four shared two different bottles in a plastic glass. The tour itself was interesting in a converted industrial area. “Night life” i suppose. The street art was good and worth a visit. Not a place i would visit without a local. Pick up okay with well marked car and driver.

Disappointed! - The guide was certainly very knowledgable regarding the history of the area and the graffiti and art. He was also very friendly. However, as a food tasting and beer tasting experience I would avoid. Food tasting was in very low budget restaurants (Caged windows) with and beer was often picked up at a liquor store and then drunk from plastic glasses. For the amount I paid I was extremely disappointed as it certainly was not good value for money and I will never recommend to anyone visiting Johannesburg. Perhaps it was more of an authentic experience, but eating with your hands and often without plates wasn’t something I had in mind when I booked it.

Do not go for the food - The good things about the tour was the communication and the interesting street art. The bad thing was the food! Clearly the company was trying to maximize on profits. I have posted a photo of the 1st place we went to the Ethiopian food was interesting and tasty. The tiger places were awful. Ghana place was worst, dirty and they actually locked us in. Food tours need to be organized by ‘foodies’ not people trying to make money. The beer was non existent .

Not What Was Advertised - Let me start off with the good; Pre event communication was good, confirming pick-up timing and details, etc. The driver who picked us up, Junior, was very good. Other than that, the rest was simply poor. - The meeting place/office smelled of marijuana and was an "art studio" where they were looking to sell you something. The tour guide seemed and smelled like he had been drinking. There was not 4 food offerings at each place. As a matter of fact it appeared that 2 of the 3 weren't even expecting us. - Any drinks, even water were extra and cash only. - Optional beer tasting?? Not even close. The first place served only tea and coffee. The second place had two beers. Not two types. Two beers. The guide poured them equally into 4 plastic cups, so we had a small amount of a blended beer. - At the Ethiopian restaurant, the owner/chef came over and started helping himself to our meal! This is finger food, so that ended our eating at that place. Viator needs to remove this local tour company from their offerings.
