Educational, cultural - This was an excellent overview of the political and historical influences for South Africa. We added lunch at an authentic restaurant in Sorwento that was very good.

Review of the Jo’burg and Soweto guild day tpur. - We went on this private tour with Pastor as our guide. We were really impressed with all aspects. Pastor picked us up from our hotel. He was very informed and courteous and make an excellent guide for us. His vehicle was spotless and he provided water for us. He was a very safe driver. The tour was great, and we leaned a lot about Jo’burg, Soweto and apartheid. It was a full day tour that left us humbled and ashamed. We would recommend the tour and tour company. Thank you .

In depth tour Joburg and Soweto - Great day filled with information from Pastor our guide. His knowledge was in depth and he was open minded regarding history and present. We learned so much from him His driving very safe. He showed us the good, bad and ugly of present day Johannesburg and Soweto as he called it. Wow we were dazzled. The Apartheidsmuseum was a moving experience. So good and dark. We spent 3 hours and did not finish. We will be back. Company service was great and booking easy. Direct answers in booking proces felt very reliable. We can only highly recommend this company and Pastor as a guide.

Great cultural experience with a great guide - Our guide KG was amazing! She was friendly, very knowledgeable and well organized. We spent 8 hours with her, she was accommodating with our needs and very patient answering all our questions. She enriched our time spent in Joburg, and really made a difference. We highly recommend this tour.

A Thrilling & Educational Day Adventure in Johannesburg! - Incredible day & experience with our guide Lindale from MoAfrica Tours! He was an enthusiastic walking encyclopedia of the history of South Africa & the city of Johannesburg. Lindale was passionate about his homeland & provided us with a full & complete history & explanation of how Johannesburg was formed & evolved. He took us to many of the highlights of the city & surrounding area, including the 2010 World Cup Football Stadium. Plus we ended up at the Apartheid Museum which was a perfect wrap to the day & reinforced what our wonderful guide had presented throughout our tour. Lindale totally respected our wishes & was very responsive to our questions. My wife & I highly recommend this tour through MoAfrica via TripAdvisor!

Just do it! - This is the best and most REAL tour of Joberg you’ll ever get. From the homes of historical figures like Madiba and Bishop Tutu, to the homes of the friendliest and most resilient people living in Soweto - you will see it all. If you’re lucky, you will see Hector Pieterson's sister Antoinette speaking with people in the Pieterson museum square, and prepare your heart for the Apartheid museum which holds heavy yet necessary exhibits. I was blessed with KG as a tour guide and she was knowledgeable, patient, and fantastic.

Extensive tour and history of Johannesburg, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. - This tour exceeded our expectations. It was individualized to what we were interested in and what we wanted to see. Our guide became our brother as we explored and learned about Johannesburg and Soweto. I would highly recommend this tour.

Only partly a guided full day tour - Unfortunately our ”full day tour” did not fully meet our expectations. We booked a private tour including our family of four but were met up with small car where we had to squeeze in. The guide was friendly. After some time I asked where I could get some water and the guide pulled out two bottle for us to share. The guide brought us to a poor part of the township of Soweto where he dropped us off for a resident to show us around. We were expected to pay/tip this person as well as a paying for a visit to one of the homes we visited. Of course we gladly supported them considering circumstances but to be fair our pre-paid guide waited outside and handed over the guide assignment to someone else. Similar thing next stop at Apartheid Museum where we spent the full afternoon. We were given the entrance tickets and afterwards the guide picked us up to take us to the hotel. During the day our guide had no plans for where we could have lunch and when we asked for lunch plans it finally ended up as part of our visit to the Apartheid Museum. In summary, it was a good day but not truly a full day tour with a qualified guide per se. The duration of the ”full day tour” is claimed to be 8-9 hours but we were back at the hotel after roughly 7 hours.
