- Gold Reef City - Explore this fascinating Gold Mine Village. The tour begins with a brief video on the history of gold mining in South Africa. We then visit the General Manager’s house and several smaller houses and outbuildings of a gold mine. Next, take a ride underground in a skip (lift) to experience underground mining. The tour concludes with a gold pouring demonstration. This is a must-see experience while in South Africa.
- Apartheid Museum - Visit South Africa’s most renowned museum. It offers an excellent history of Apartheid, profiling all the famous ANC leaders and freedom fighters, including Mr. Mandela. The military and atrocities are professionally documented.
- Soweto - We drive to Soweto and tour the area near Vilakazi Street. Experience life in a township and stop at Vilakazi Street for a bite to eat or a drink. Soweto is home.
- Mandela House - We stop for you to explore inside (R 80) or view from the outside and take photographs. The house is near Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s residence. Entry fees are not included. If you wish to enter the Mandela House museum, the cost is R110.
