Begin the day with a morning departure from Amman heading south to Petra, Jordan’s most renowned attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the Rose-Red City, Petra was the remarkable capital of the Nabataean kingdom. Its ruins remained largely unknown to the world until 1812 when Swiss explorer JL Burckhardt, disguised as an Arab scholar, discovered it. Petra is recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Stroll through the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon leading to the magnificent Treasury. Discover the city, including the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater, and the Royal Tombs. After the visit, continue from Petra to Wadi Rum.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Recently designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum showcases unique natural beauty and cultural importance. Inhabited since prehistoric times, it gained fame from Lawrence of Arabia, who spent time there during the Arab Revolt of 1916 against the Ottomans. It is Jordan’s largest desert and one of the world’s most stunning desert landscapes. From the terrain, flora, and fauna to the sites and the culture of the local Bedouins, there is much to explore in Rum, whether on a jeep tour, camel trek, hike, or even a hot-air balloon ride. Arrive at your camp in the heart of the desert for dinner and an overnight stay.

In the afternoon depart Petra for Wadi Rum; probably the most spectacular deserts in the world. Arrive to your desert camp set in the middle of the desert where you enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight at camp. The Next morning we explore the desert in local off-road vehicles before we depart north to returning to Amman or Q.A.I. Airport
