A long drive but so worth it! - Yes, 4.5 hours seems a long time to drive to Wadi Rum from Amman, but we’re glad we did it. Our driver/guide Basel provided extensive history and commentary during the car ride since this was our first day in Jordan. His English was very good and easy to understand. He was very kind and helpful with my husband who has a bum knee. Our tour included lunch buffet at Sun City camp, a two-hour jeep tour through the wadi with our Bedouin driver/guide Tariq who was equally knowledgeable, personable and kind as Basel, and then a camel ride which made for a most memorable travel experience. The only thing we wish we had done was spend the night in one of the camps, but we had to meet up with a group the next day so this was a one day excursion.

Enchanting place - This place is amazing. The beauty of the desert is real. And you feel completely immersed in nature, almost expecting Lawrence and a band of Bedouins to come charging down a valley. Serene landscape and thanks to our driver Hassan it was a complete experience, totally awesome. If I could I’d give it six stars because this was just awesome!

Wadi Rum from Amman - Jordan Pass - I had the opportunity to visit Wadi Rum with Zaid Travel and Tourism and it was an exceptional experience. Particularly, my driver Basel was amazing and extremely accommodating to my needs. I was alone and he made my trip much better. The tour included a pick up at my hotel in Amman, 4 hour drive in a hybrid vehicle with AC and Wi-Fi. Then lunch at Wadi Rum visitor center. Followed by 45 minute camel ride, and a two hour 4*4 Jeep tour through the dessert including te with the Bedouins and multiple stops in places such as the water steps, Lawrence and King Hussein’s cave, and other places of natural wonder. Please note that because I chose the Jordan Pass package, my fee to the park was waved. However, all other expenses (besides transportation) were assumed separately. 35 JOD for the 4*4 Tour ( for me alone, may be cheaper in groups); 15 JOD for the Camel Ride and 12 JOD for the lunch. Will recommend this experience highly!!! Thanks Basel and Zaid Travels Weather was perfect in October.

Zaid Tours had arranged a private guided tour and a camel ride, with lunch. We had a great time and learned a lot from Amer about not just the area but the history as well. He was great. He took the time to make a video of us on our camel ride and surprised us by sending it electronically that same evening. It was a great experience overall. Zaid Tours, and Amer, provided excellent service.</p>
