Here we will explore the nature trail and take pictures next to giant billion year old boulders . - Banana Cracks Rock - Large rock formations used by rock climbers. Nice desert walking area with lots of Joshua Trees and unique rock formations. - Keys View - At 5500 feet in elevation Keys View is one of the highest view points in Joshua tree national park and gives you an amazing view of the Coachella Valley and the Transverse mountain range which Joshua Tree rests on. You can see the Salton Sea on most days , the San Andreas Fault lines, Palm Springs , and the various mountain ranges. The view is incredible. - Cap Rock Trail - A quick stop at Cap Rock which is a beautiful scenic area north of Keys view. This is where the famous story of rocker Gram Parsons body was set on fire by Phil Kaufman and friends to cremate him as he’s dying wish. Nice easy walking area.
