You will be making 3 types of sushi in this sushi class.

  1. Salad Roll
A kind of sushi roll. Crab-flavored kamaboko, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, tuna mixed with mayonnaise, and nori roll with a core of tamagoyaki (egg roll).

  2. Nigiri
Nigiri-zushi is one of the representative dishes of Japan, in which ingredients are placed on top of vinegared rice. Sushi made by placing sushi ingredients such as fish, shellfish, and omelet on a bite-sized piece of vinegared rice.

  3. Oshizushi - Pressed Sushi
Oshizushi is a traditional form of sushi in the Kansai region. After filling a square wooden frame with sushi rice and toppings on top, press the rice with your hand to make the rice stick to the toppings. In Osaka, it is also called “box sushi” and is still popular with many people. The finished product will be a square, so cut it into pieces just before eating.

Very detailed sushi making - Had a great time learning how to make sushi and miso with my husband and kids!! While the hosts were super nice, they were not very dynamic. The place was a bit hard to find since it’s inside a building that’s kind of hidden, so I recommend getting there early. But overall we loved the experience!

Delicious Sushi Plate - We prepared an entire sushi plate with different kind of sushi style. The result looked amazing. My family could not believe that I had prepared the sushi plate by myself when I showed them pictures at home. Very well structured course, learned a lot, thanks.

Excellent sushi class - Sakura cook ran an outstanding class. Everything was so well organized, beautifully prepared, and thoroughly explained. Our chef was patient with all the questions I had above the basics as I already had a little experience making sushi, and also with one of the participants who was having physical difficulties. The main chef and her assistant both communicated well in English.

Amazing experience highly recommend - We did the cooking class today as a couple from London. It was brilliant and worth 5*. The teachers were so thorough and clear with their instructions - their English is brilliant and they really help you with every step. It’s a max class of 4 so easy to follow and very intimate. You make 3 different types of sushi, egg rolls and miso soup. You get loads of food to eat at the end in the sushi class too and they cater and understand dietary requirements like vegetarian. Highly recommend what a great morning :-)
