Highlights
  • Azumabashi Hall - During this experience, we’re going to have a 90min lesson that mainly focuses on practicing a variety of basic karate techniques like punches, kicks and blocks that will maximize flexibility and muscle strength.

Before practicing basic attacks and blocks, we will start with stretching and a light physical workout that will help us to use our bodies more efficiently.

The instructor, Ryo will also teach how karate practitioners behave during the whole training with proper manners, which are often described as “It begins with a bow and ends with a bow.”

Let’s enjoy having a workout with a Japanese black belt and experience the essence of karate, an ancient martial art of Japan!

In this experience, you will be able to learn the essence of karate as an ancient martial art that gives its practitioners excellent physical health and self-confidence.

Before practicing basic karate techniques like punches, kicks and blocks, we will start with a variety of stretching exercises and light physical workouts that will help guests to move their bodies smoothly so that it will be enjoyable for those who try out a martial arts training for the first time.

The instructor, Ryo has been dedicated to “Kyokushin Karate”, that has been popular around the world for 18 years.

In 2013, he got the 3rd place at KWU[Kyokushin World Union] World Karate Championship (-75kg) held in Bulgaria and has become the All-Japan champion of Kyokushinkan International(-80kg).
He’s been teaching karate since 2010, and has passed the promotion exam for the 2nd Dan of black belt in 2020, which is the certificate of a highly qualified instructor.

From Asakusa station (Tokyo Metro Ginza Line), head to Tokyo Skytree and go across Azumabashi Bridge, the red bridge toward 2 gold buildings(Asahi Beer Company). After those buildings, turn left at the corner of Seven-Eleven convenience store and you will find a lovely hall in white :)

so much fun! - It was my first time ever trying karate so I was a little nervous but Ryo really adapted to my level. I especially enjoyed the traditional kata practice during which Ryo speaks in Japanese for a short while. It feels truly authentic! And being able to punch and kick like a pro was also super rewarding! Thank you, Ryo!
