  1. Dress as a Samurai: Upon arrival at the dojo, you’ll don samurai attire. From this moment, you’ll become a SAMURAI, embodying the spirit of a samurai who respects Japanese culture.

  2. Introduction to Samurai Culture: Begin your adventure into the world of samurai. Learn about how to bow, how to draw a sword, and strike with stylized movements from the master.

  3. Swordplay Workshop: Trust your instincts and choose your sword from among many. Under the guidance of a professional stunt performer, experience the fundamental stances, strikes, and movements that make up the dynamic art of samurai swordsmanship. With a respectful bow to your master, grab your certificate of achievement.

Please gather at the meeting place at 9:25 AM (5 minutes before the session starts). The address is 2-45-9 Yahiro, Sumida-ku, Tokyo 131-0041, Japan. The dojo is an old traditional house with a sign that says "旧邸稽古場". A friendly interpreter will be waiting for you!

A glimpse into samurai life - Attending this Samurai School was an incredible experience! I felt like a real samurai, learning etiquette, rules, and participating in exciting fight choreography. The instructors were passionate and supportive, making the practice with swords (竹光刀) both fun and educational. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Japanese culture or martial arts!

A unique experience! - I am very happy to have had the opportunity to experience being a samurai right near Tokyo Skytree. I was thrilled to be able to learn directly from a real samurai action star! I highly recommend this school!

must visit experience in Tokyo - This was so fun! I would say this is the best experience in Tokyo for me. First, I became a samurai by wearing samurai costume & choosing japanese sode. Then I learned samurai action & japanese spirits which have a long history. I was a solo participant but my teacher was super friendly & open minded so I could enjoy more. What's more, they took a lot of pictures & videoes of me. Especially, the video of final performance is as amazing as a scene of movies. It's so precious to me! highly recommended!

An unparalleled, refined experience! - Unlike other forms of swordsmanship, this activity emphasized action, allowing me to channel my emotions directly into being a samurai. It was an incredibly exciting hour. Training with the masters was intense, and experiencing something so unique in Japan was truly invaluable.

I became a true samurai. - I learned the actions of a samurai and the spirit of Zen from a 25-year professional. Coming to Japan, I was able to become a real samurai and return! The solemn dojo was also wonderful, and it's something you should definitely experience at least once. Having a deep interaction with the choreographer of the movie "Kill Bill," I was able to hear many stories.
