- WASAKE Sake Experience - Take a break from exploring the streets of Asakusa and immerse yourself in the vibrant world of traditional Japanese confectionaries (wagashi) with Yuko, a dedicated instructor and wagashi specialist. These exquisite creations are more than just sweet treats — they are cultural representations of Japan’s seasons and nature. In this class, participants will also discover new flavor possibilities by pairing their handmade creations with a selection of sake provided by the venue.
Initially, Yuko will provide a brief introduction to the various tools and ingredients used in crafting wagashi. Yuko is a certified professional wagashi instructor by the Wagashi Promotion Association and is enthusiastic about sharing Japanese culture. Under her guidance and expertise, participants will create two pieces of traditional and modern wagashi inspired by the seasons.
Wagashi sweets can also be savored with sake. Participants will experience how sake enhances the gentle sweetness of wagashi in this class. Discover the versatility of flavors while enjoying three different types of sake for a delightful combination of sensations.
