Start your day with a reviving physical workout as you embark on a scenic hike along the renowned Great Ķemeri Bog boardwalk at the National Park.
Post a stimulating morning improv-hike through the Kemeri bogs, you will tour the fantastic Kanieris Lake and step onto one of its bird observation towers. This massive shallow lake was once a lagoon of the ancient Littorina Sea and is situated near the Gulf Of Riga. A vital pit stop for migratory birds, the Kanieris Lake and its surrounding nature tracks, or ‘habitats’, are teaming with unique, protected ecosystems and are an ideal location for wildlife sighting.
Next, you’ll get to explore the distinctive damp forests of Ķemeri National Park and discover their natural treasures including the well-known Sulphur springs.
Before returning to Riga, you will take in the refreshing breeze of the impressive sandy beach and the coastal pine woods of the Gulf of Riga.

A fabulous day out - Wow this was an amazing trip. Our guide Rolands and his assistant Dita were great fun and very informative. The walk through the bog was a challenge as it was very icy on the planks but we managed to stay upright! We enjoyed a very nice Latvian lunch of snacks which was delicious sat by the lake. Great views through the forest of the beach too. Highly recommend this trip.

Our best day in Latvia - We were in Latvia for 10 days, and this was our favourite day. A stunning private tour of three very distinct environments in Kemeri National Park. Roland was an excellent local tour guide: highly knowledgeable (the man has two degrees) and friendly, bringing lots of personal touches to the day… including his wife’s cooking! We had an amazing time on this adventure and would recommend to anyone.

Arem-stunning moorland, beautiful beach, top tour guide - Highly recommended tour through the breathtaking moorland of Kemeri National Park. We were lucky enough to experience the moor and the beach as a fairytale snow landscape. Roland from Idea-Aventures picked us up directly from the hotel and made the 5h tour a great experience. We felt completely comfortable and could learn a lot about this natural wonder and Latvia in general through his inspiring stories. Booking in advance worked out quite easily, and the price-performance is top! Roland taking many photos of us during the tour and delivering them to us afterwards was the crowning conclusion of our trip. We would definitely come back!

Unforgettable experience - What about, a fantastic tour in the beauties of Kemeri Park and beyond. We saw breathtaking landscapes. Special thanks to Roland for being a fantastic and very nice person. BEAUTIFUL 😍 - The region of Jūrmala is amazing for its diversity the seaside town of Majori with its pedestrian street and at the end its magnificent Orthodox church, the huge beaches of the Baltic Sea, its small dune of the Pyla and then heading to Kermini beautiful little resort with its palace bench its Water Tower and its jewel the National Park with its boardwalk in the middle of the swamps 😍

Perfect day with Roland in a beatiful naturell Plce - Roland led us through the TAg with great enthusiasm and served us. The competence, friendliness, tranquility and professionalism Roland exuded made this day trip a highlight of our stay in Riga.
An important experience or reexperience 12kk hike can fly by and just be fun.

A must for nature enthusiasts visiting Latvia - We had a fantastic day and learnt so much about the raised bog, floodplain forest, Lake Kanieris and the Gulf of Riga. Roland was the perfect guide with his great knowledge of nature, conservation and Latvia, as well as being enthusiastic and fun. It was an extremely hot day and Roland made sure we were coping ok with the heat and regularly offered us water to top up our water bottles.
A few of the birds we saw included a Bittern, Great White Egret, and Marsh Harriers as well as plenty of different flora in the different habitats we visited.
The Latvian picnic lunch was amazing. Traditional Latvian food and drink. Roland catered well for all the group, and as vegetarians we were not disappointed with the lunch he provided.
We were in a small group of 7 and Roland took plenty of photos which he sent to us later that day. A truly amazing and enjoyable experience! If we return to Latvia, we will certainly take another tour with Roland.

A perfect day spent in nature - We highly recommend choosing green adventures outside Riga.
We have seen hidden places we would not have if we were on our own. Our guide shared with us beautiful hikes and interesting facts about living in Latvia, and we even tasted local food and drinks. He surprised us with an alternative gluten-free bread for one of our friends. He was very professional in his guidance, always making sure we were having fun.

Fantastic walk with a fantastic guide! - An unforgettable journey into nature! Our guide not only led us through stunning scenery but also shared fascinating insights about the area. The local food provided was a delicious insight into the local food scenery, adding an authentic touch to the experience. Plus, the guide's wealth of knowledge truly enriched the trip, and his dedication to capturing moments with countless photos ensured we have lasting memories.
