Go to see the Baltic! - If you have half a day to spare, take the train to Jurmala. Next to no cost. This is an experience in itself. Jurmala itself is nothing extraordinary, but you find nice restaurants with typical local food. A walk at the beach is easy, also with normal shoes, because of the long boardwalk.
