- Haedong Yonggungsa - Explore a traditional Korean temple perched on a coastal cliff, where you can write your wishes on a leaf and offer prayers. Experience a brief Buddhist service. Established in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty by Hyegeun, King Gongmin’s teacher, the temple was destroyed during the Imjin War and rebuilt in the 1960s. In 1974, Jeongam prayed for its complete restoration and renamed it Haedong Yonggungsa after dreaming of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara riding a dragon to heaven.
Immerse yourself in Korean Buddhist culture with stunning views, write your wishes on a leaf, and participate in a Buddhist service.

Enjoy the breathtaking coastal views and choose between riding the Sky Capsule or the Tourism Train.
- Haeundae Beach - Haeundae Beach is a favorite vacation destination for Koreans, known for its expansive white sandy beach, luxury hotels, and various festivals.
It connects to Blue Line Park to the east and Dongbaek Island to the west, famous for its coastal cliffs, suspension bridges, and lighthouse observatories. - Busan Gamcheon Culture Village - Originally a refugee settlement in the 1950s, Gamcheon Culture Village now preserves elements of Busan’s history and the nation’s modern history.
The village’s charm lies in its terraced residential buildings and maze-like alleyways. The “Village Art Project,” initiated by local artists and residents, aimed to preserve Gamcheon’s character and historical value, leading to its development as a tourist attraction, with around 1.4 million visitors in 2015.
Despite its appeal, the village has a somber history, founded by a pseudo-religious leader, Taegeukgyo, who exploited residents for wealth and power.
- Gukje Market - Established in the 1890s in Bupyeong-dong, Jung-gu, Busan, originally known as ‘Sageori Market,’ it became the country’s first public market in 1910.
Post-Korean War, refugees sold US military canned goods here, earning it the nickname ‘Canned Can Market.’ Known for its eclectic items, it was also dubbed ‘Goblin Market.’ The 110m long narrow street is lined with street food stalls offering a variety of snacks.
The market is notable for its diverse foreign foods, with many stalls run by foreigners, offering dishes like Turkish kebabs, Indonesian mee goreng, Vietnamese spring rolls, and Japanese or Filipino cuisine. The bustling, narrow street is a spectacle as visitors walk in single file.
