Highlights
  • Borobudur Temple - Witness the stunning Borobudur Temple, The biggest Buddhist temple in the world. Enjoy the sacred atmosphere and beautiful scenery surrounding the temple.

Built between 778 and 850 AD during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty, the temple design follows Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous tradition of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining nirvaṇa.

The temple demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflect India’s influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian.

  • Yogyakarta Palace - Explore the cultural heritage of Yogyakarta by visiting Yogyakarta Sultan Palace and learning the history of the Yogyakarta Kingdom.

The Royal Palace of Yogyakarta or in the Indonesian language called Kraton Yogyakarta is a palace complex in the city of Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. It is the seat of the reigning Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family.

The complex is a center of Javanese culture and contains a museum displaying royal artifacts. It is guarded by the Yogyakarta Kraton Guards.

  • Water Castle (Tamansari) - Taman Sari Water Castle, also known as Taman Sari is the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It is located about 2 km south within the grounds of the Kraton, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Built in the mid-18th century, the Taman Sari had multiple functions, such as a resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area, and a hiding place.

Taman Sari consisted of four distinct areas: a large artificial lake with islands and pavilions located in the west, a bathing complex in the center, a complex of pavilions and pools in the south, and a smaller lake in the east. Today only the central bathing complex is well preserved, while the other areas have been largely occupied by the Kampung Taman settlement.

  • Prambanan Temples - Visit Prambanan Temple, another Unesco World Heritage Site, a beautiful Hindu temple. Fully recharge your spirit by enjoying the temples in the Prambanan Complex.

Prambanan Temple is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, in southern Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimūrti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometers northeast of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces.

Prambanan temple compounds originally consisted of 240 temple structures, which represented the grandeur of ancient Java’s Hindu art and architecture, and are also considered as a masterpiece of the classical period in Indonesia. Prambanan attracts many visitors from around the world.
