• Golden Sunrise Punthuk Setumbu - The driver and guide will pick you up at approximately 3:45 am from your centrally located hotel in Yogyakarta. The first destination is Punthuk Setumbu Hill, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise.

• Pawon Luwak - Visit the Pawon Temple, derived from the word “Per-awu-an” (a place that contains dust), which is a temple housing the ashes of a cremated king. The identity of the person entombed here remains unknown. Locals refer to this temple as “Bajranalan,” named after the village.

• Candi Mendut (Temple) - Next, visit Mendut Temple, constructed by King Indra of the Syailendra Dynasty. This rectangular temple with multi-tiered roofs adorned with small stupas predates both Pawon Temple and Borobudur Temple, which are aligned in a straight line. Unlike Borobudur Temple, which faces the rising sun, Mendut Temple’s entrance faces west.

• Merapi Volcano - Continue the tour with a jeep visit to Merapi Volcano, one of the world’s most active and hazardous volcanoes. It features an active lava dome that frequently produces pyroclastic flows and has been active for 10,000 years. This fiery mountain remains one of the most active and dangerous volcanoes globally.

• Prambanan Temples - Finally, visit the stunning Prambanan, the most beautiful Hindu temple. Built in the 10th century, it is the largest temple complex dedicated to Shiva in Indonesia. At the center of the last of these concentric squares are three temples adorned with reliefs depicting the Ramayana epic, dedicated to the three great Hindu deities (Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma) and three temples dedicated to the animals that serve them.
