Fun and educational craft workshop (wheelchair friendly) - My wife and I did a workshop here and were overwhelmed by the kindness and enthusiasm of the ladies. They are obviously passionate about sharing traditional Japanese crafts and providing an enjoyable experience. Depending on which building entrance you come to it may look like you have come to the wrong place, don't be put off, go inside and find the workshop. Although a small space this activity is definitely wheelchair accessible.

Great craft workshop! - The class was really good. It was run in both Japanese and English, and you had a choice of things to craft! The host was very engaging, with an introduction and a short fun quiz during the break! Snacks and tea were also provided. I was very pleased with what I made and took it home with me to wear! I also appreciated the ethics and mission behind the organisation, using local materials and traditional crafts to help reach a wider audience! Would recommend!

Oshima Tsumugi Tsumami Crafts - While listening intently to the English, I was able to learn about Kagoshima and the environment, and the teacher helped me to beautifully finish the difficult parts of the cute tsumami zaiku, so I'm happy to be able to take home such a wonderful piece of work. I would recommend this place to Japanese people who want to learn English, people who want to speak English, and tourists alike.

Ohshima Tsumugi Workshop - It was really fun! The crafts were taught very well, and they also spoke about trying to do more sustainable practices and raising awareness for it in Kagoshima. Would definitely go again <3

Cute!! - I found out about this through my teacher at Japanese school. I'm really glad I checked it out because it was really fun! The ladies that run the class are super nice and I learned a lot about Kagoshima(which I appreciated since I haven't been in the prefecture that long). I took my friend and it was cool that we didn't have to both do the same activity. It was a lil tricky but I made a cute hairpin that I'm excited to wear with my yukata this summer!
