Warmly recommend, great for families - We are a family of four with kids 5 and 7 who absolutely loved our seal kayak tour. We had gone with one of the larger boats to see whales the day before, and combining that with experiencing the Kaikoura coast up and close from a kayak where you really get to feel the ocean just felt like the complete package. Our excellent guide Bailey made us feel safe and well taken care of, while still very much on an adventure. The kids loved being able to help paddle the kayaks. Bailey guided us with a sure hand among the cliffs and pointed out the seals, gave us some interesting facts about the towns history and about the local marine life, and was all round great with us and the kids. The views of the town and the surrounding mountains from the bay was spectacular. Bonus points for the little truck next to the office that sells great coffee, snacks and ice cream - we were hungry when we got back. To sum up: I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get up close with this beautiful place.

Great time - Went out for morning seal kayak tour. Beautiful day, flat ocean and little wind. Saw seals and dolphins. Highlight was a seal that followed us and gave us quite a performance. Our guide Bailey was awesome. And the pedal kayaks are way easier than paddle kayaks.

An epic encounter with the seals - An excellent trip with Logan our awesome guide. He covered the safety aspect well, before we left, then we enjoyed his knowledge on the water whilst having the experience of seeing the seals close up in their natural habitat.

Easy Kayaking - Loved kayaking with the footpedals. Made it much easier to get pics and it moved the kayaks so much faster.

Cloudy day in Kaikoura - It was a fun half day out and interesting information about the seals. I just wish we had have gone a bit further in distance. It seemed a bit short that way. Otherwise, all good and friendly guides. A good trip to do in Kaikoura.
