Experience the exquisite Japanese classical dance “Zashikimai” and engage in Zen meditation at Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura!
Zashikimai is a performing art where dancers convey the delicate emotions of the human heart, harmonizing with the melodies of songs and shamisen music. While Zashikimai has become more common on stage in recent years, it was traditionally performed by candlelight in a tatami room, allowing the audience to appreciate the serene dance in the shadows.
This event offers a unique chance to witness a prominent Zashikimai performer up close, reminiscent of its traditional setting. A Zen meditation set ticket is available for the 1:00 p.m. performance, allowing attendees to enjoy meditation following the show.
Embrace the opportunity to immerse yourself in traditional Japanese culture at a historic temple in Kamakura. We eagerly anticipate your visit!
