Memories for a Lifetime! - My fiancé and I travelled to Utah to celebrate our anniversary (which turned into celebrating our engagement) and to attend a book convention, so we wanted to explore some more of the area. I was recommended to take a look at MTXutah and booked the snowshoeing experience. CJ picked us up from our hotel in SLC and took us up into the mountains, telling us about where we were as we passed through! We eventually made it to Tea Kettle Lake and trekked all the way around it. Once we finished with that, CJ took us to come overlooks, a frozen waterfall, and then we ended the day with Fizz! I HIGHLY recommend booking this experience. CJ made me and my fiancé feel safe and comfortable, provided water and snacks, and told us so many interesting facts. The views are unlike anything I’ve ever seen or experienced before, truly out of this world. The communication beforehand was very nice as well. CJ made sure we knew exactly what to wear, how long it was going to take us to get to our destination, and what the weather was going to be like. I originally wanted to do the moonlight snowshoeing experience, but he was upfront and honest with me by explaining that there would be no moon the week we were there and that he suggested we do a day hike. I really appreciated this! Two things that I made a mistake on, but that have nothing to do with the experience: 1) Bring sunglasses: though CJ brought some for us, bring your own because it gets bright! 2)Altitude: I’m from the Chicago area so the elevation got me really bad. Be sure to hydrate hydrate hydrate! Hiking that high up is no joke and you will pay for it if you aren’t ready. All in all, this was something that we’ll remember forever and is a must do if you ever visit the SLC or Park City area!

You can’t go wrong with CJ and MTX Utah! - CJ did a fantastic job! He’s very knowledgeable about the area and enjoys sharing his love of Utah! He drove us into the Wasatch Mountains to a beautiful spot by a lake where we snowshoed. He took us to Bald Mountain Pass and the highest paved road in the State. We also appreciated all the great pics that he took! We highly recommend CJ and MTX Utah!

Excellent Utah experience - CJ had a positive energy and engaged our son constantly. Knowledgeable about the natural environment and the human history of the land that only comes from a born and raised local guide. He made sure we were always comfortable and on the same page about what to expect next on the tour. CJs outdoor equipment and van was high quality and well maintained. You can tell this is a guy who loves his job, puts resources into his business, and really wants guests to experience the joy. Our family has taken tours in many states and countries. We have seen a spectrum of value with different tour companies and, with that in mind, MTXUtah is a very solid choice for your group.

An awesome experience! - CJ made our long weekend in Park City memorable. We snow shoed over a frozen lake, stopped at a frozen waterfall, took in multiple lookout points and ended the excursion at a quaint soda shop. My son loved experiencing the snow and the family memories are priceless. CJ ensured we had a wonderful time and we are thankful. I highly recommend this excursion.

Utah at its best ! - We highly recommend MTX Utah ! We were so blessed to do the backcountry snowshoeing with CJ ! Not only did we go snowshoeing for the first time but CJ took us to Hayden Peak & Wasatch National Forest ! He took us to a waterfall full of ice & snow & the second highest point in Utah ! Absolutely breathtaking! Definitely the highlight of our trip ! We took lots of pictures as well. We passed a couple of people ice fishing. I forgot my sunglasses in the room & CJ was gracious enough to be prepared with extras , snacks, water , poles & snow shoes ! You warm up fast & the weather was perfect! Thank you CJ for showing us your beautiful country & learning so much about the history of your beautiful state as well . CJ is 6th generation native & knows the best spots .

Incredible Snowshoeing tour- Highly Recommend - Our snowshoeing tour in the Uinta mountains (located a half hour away from Park City) was such a fun experience and exceeded our expectations. For anyone looking to experience nature and incredible views, I’d highly recommend booking a tour with CJ. CJ picked us up from our hotel, took us to the Uinta mountains, supplied us with snowshoes and hiking sticks, and took us on a 4 hour journey (incl travel time). CJ is very knowledgeable about all things nature, and it was very interesting to learn about the history of the backcountry mountains. He took great pictures of us, had snacks and water for us and overall was a great guide! We have incredible pictures and memories and was the highlight of our Park City trip

Fun Outback Snowshoe Adventure - First time snowshoeing in the beautiful outback of the Uinta Mountain with friendly and knowledgeable guide CJ who catered this incredible experience to my comfort level. The scenic drive from my hotel was enhanced when we unexpectedly spotted two moose trotting along the road near Shingle Creek Trailhead. I truly enjoyed learning a new sport in such a pristine environment where evergreens and aspens fill your view as you trek up and down trails, across bridges with the peaceful sound of flowing creeks. Definitely for outdoor enthusiasts! CJ will tailor to your abilities. Thanks for a memorable, fun adventure!

Absolutely Amazing! - CJ was absolutely amazing ! Professional and safety precautions. Look forward to booking with him again and again! Would recommend CJ as a guide for beginners and experienced hikers. Picked me up at my lodging and dropped me off and brought snacks water and opened my car door! True gentleman!

Best Hiking Guide! - CJ is the best guide!!! The hikes were amazing, w/stunning views, beautiful remote trails. We even saw a moose! C.J. is very professional and a lot of fun to be with.
