Uganda with EAJS - spectacular! - Wow, what an experience! I hired East African Jungle Safaris to put together a trip to see the gorillas, as well as several other highlights in Uganda, and they did an incredible job. They took 4 of us on a multi day adventure from Kigali, Rwanda to Entebbe, Uganda, seeing gorillas, chimpanzees, Shoebill storks, and more, plus lots of great experiences. Ruth was our co-ordinator and was very easy to communicate with; she set up a great itinerary. Ronnie was our driver, and he was the best! Great driver, kind, and calm, he took such good care of us everywhere that we miss him. I also must mention that Uganda is a stunning country - beautiful, safe, friendly. I am so happy we did this trip, and allowed EAJS to be our guides.

An incredible trip to Uganda - This company helped me, since I started planning my trip from Costa Rica, Ruth was very kind and gave me varied options and varied prices depending on my needs and possibilities. From the first day I felt supported and cared for, my guide was Gerald, an excellent, respectful man who made great efforts to make me experience each of the activities in the best way, he made an effort to wait patiently for the animals during the safari, he tried to helping me get products of importance to me even though that was not part of their job. I arrived on time for each activity and did not lose anything that was offered to me in the package I chose. I would definitely hire them again for future visits to Uganda, gorilla tracking was my main activity but I can tell you that in the 5 days I was there I lived incredible moments enjoying the beauties that a country like Uganda can offer with the right guide. My thanks to Ruth for her patience and to Gerald, eternally grateful for his service, his friendship and his impeccable work.

It was a very well-organized tour that provided a good mix of adventure, activity, and a bit of relaxation time. Our guide Ronnie was super great and took really good care of us the whole week. He was a safe driver, full of information, and was always happy to answer our many questions.

Impressiv Experience - I've chosen two journeys from East African Jungle Safaris. One to Bwindi NP and Queen Elisabeth NP and one to Kidepo NP. During the planning, Fred fulfilled my needs 100%. Because of the Covid-situation, I could adjust the tour without any problems. The guides Eddy and Ronald did a great job. They were very friendly, drove me safely and helped me, whenever they could. I can highly recommend this tour agency.

Perfect trip with my driver Ronald - I must absolutely recommend East African Jungle Safaris! Best thing first: My driver and tour guide Ronald from Kampala was perfect! Very experiences, helpful, friendly. A wonderful guy to communicate! I enjoyed the time with him from the first to the last minute. Other members of EAJS I did not meet personally, but they have asked me also by phone for my satisfaction. The tour itself was perfected timed and organized. The accomodations were worth the price paid. Also the additional guides were perfect and very professional. I would like to highly recommend EAJS for a unforgetable tour in a wonderful country!

Gorillas in the Mist - Right from the get-go, everything was very well-organized. The accommodations were top-notch, whether we were staying in Entebbe or out on the go. The company was very helpful in setting up additional days for us to stay in Entebbe, which I would recommend if possible. The gorillas were by far the highlight; truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Life Changing Experience - An African Safari has been on my to-do for over 20 years. I finally got up the courage and sent myself there. Alone. Needless to say, I was nervous — being alone in a foreign country. EAJS showed me around really quick and my anxiety evaporated almost immediately. The safari was life-changing. I was absolutely floored. Mouth agape. Speechless. For the entire 5 days. It was the best experience of my life. I'm a travel light kind of person, so I just brought my phone camera and a few disposable cameras. They were more than enough, as the animals often come so close you can touch them (obviously DON'T do that). When I'm old and rich, I'll invest in the good camera stuff. :) My only regret is not doing a longer safari. I'll be going back and doing the maximum available time. I've recommended it to everyone and I can't wait to go back.

Fantastic Company & Amazing Vacation - Firstly, this company was very communicative and went out of their way in helping us plan the trip of a lifetime. They went out of their way to make changes we requested. Secondly, I would definitely use this company again. Please don’t let our few mishaps dissuade you as this can happen to anyone anywhere while traveling. The key to a great adventure is to be relaxed and fluid. Secondly, I want to thank to our trusty driver, Frank Bayanga, who worked double-time to smooth everything out. I am going to start with the few hiccups and end with the wonderful highlights. Our first mishap was that, although we paid well in advance for our Gorilla permits, they were nowhere to be found. Frank was on the phone for days working this out all the while giving us a great tour. We then got a flat tire. Thank goodness we were in town so while Frank was getting our tire fixed, we met his family and then proceeded to the local watering. We love adventures that give us real local culture and experiences. This was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. I also have fantastic video of the school children laughing and loving. Our second mishap was that the vehicle broke down at night and on our way to our room and our Gorilla trek. It overheated. Frank called the person he rented the vehicle from and requested and received a new one. While this took a bit of time, we were happy with the outcome. We started off by going to Queen Elizabeth NP. Ahhmazing. Upon arrival at the camp, we could hear lions roaring in the background and the sunset was unbelievable. I could not believe I was living my dream in Africa. While the drive the next day was bumpy to say the least so ladies we a great sports bra. We saw wonderful animals as well as the Congo which was on the other side of the river. We then proceeded to the Impenetrable Forest. Talk about beautiful and mystic. Breathtaking. We are in our 50s and not in the best shape, but the Gorilla trek was the reason to go to Africa. Let me say that even if you are young and in great shape, hire a porter and support the locals. Also don’t forget to tip them, the guides and scouts in local currency (there are no banks anywhere close). This is once in a lifetime experience and you will be in awe the whole time! It was well worth the trip and permit cost. Later that day we went to Lake Bunyonyi and I must say, we could have stayed here the whole week. Do make this a stop and I suggest you stay at the Rock Resort. They are so sweet. They even took our clothes and boots and cleaned them for us. The views, peace, quiet and lake tour in a small boat will just put you into a tranquil space. The next time we go to Uganda, we are planting ourselves here and take day trips with Frank to see anything else. So, to wrap it up, travel comes with bumps but it you are willing to accept that as part of the adventure then you will have a great time. As for East African Jungle Safaris, don’t look any further. They are a great, responsible and trustworthy organization.
