Highlights
  • Independence Monument - We visit the Independence Monument and take pictures as well.
  • Nakasero Market - We visit the Nakasero market and interact with vendors about items sold.

We later walk to the nearby Old Taxi Park and have a view of downtown Kampala.

  • Namirembe Kathedrale - We visit the largest Anglican church in the country. It serves as the provincial cathedral of the Church of Uganda and the diocesan cathedral for Namirembe Diocese.
  • Rubaga-Kathedrale - We visit the main Catholic church in the country, the oldest Roman Catholic diocese in Uganda. It is the home church of Archbishop of Kampala.
  • Fort Lugard - We later walk and visit nearby Fort Lugard and the craft shops to learn about the history of the place as well as purchase art crafts.
  • Gaddafi National Mosque - We visit the largest Mosque in the country and also climb at the top of its minaret to have a wide view of Kampala City.
  • Kabaka’s Palace - We visit the Kabaka’s Palace which is also his official residence and former president Idi Amin’s torture chambers.
