Highlights
  • Nakasero Market - Despite Uganda being a landlocked country, Kampala is even more so, yet it has access to Lake Victoria and serves as a hub where all roads from various regions of Uganda converge in the city center and radiate out from it. The city is a melting pot of diverse cultures and ethnicities, including those from outside Uganda, thanks to the welcoming nature of the country’s government. On this brief and brisk city tour, we will walk, jog, rest, dine, and ensure that we cover all planned activities thoroughly within nine hours. Our starting point will depend on your location, but punctuality is key, with an early start at 8:00 AM from the markets of Nakasero and Owino as our initial destinations. Bring bags for affordable fruits and clothing, and then we’ll proceed to other city landmarks.
  • Kasubi Tombs - We will meet in Kampala and begin our journey from Nakasero, moving on to Owino, the national Moslem mosque, Mengo palace, Lubaga, Namirembe cathedral, Makerere university, the Uganda museum, and finally the Uganda Martyrs shrine. Meals are not included and will be at your own expense. You will also be responsible for your own entrance fees and purchasing water. There are no car rental services included in the rate; instead, we will walk and use boda bodas as needed. The tour is designed to last no more than nine hours, and the fee covers your guide’s services. Please bring cameras and attire suitable for all weather conditions, as we are situated on the equator and can experience rain or sunshine at any time.
