The best walking tour in Kampala - We only had one day in Kampala, and these guys helped us make the most of it. Nasser and Malik are excellent tour guides. They not only know everything about the city, but they are also great people. So, if you want to have the best experience and support local tour operators, there's no better option than booking with Ondaba. PS: We booked it only two hours in advance, and even with that short booking period, they arranged everything for us.

Authentic experience in Kampala - The tour with Nasser was wonderful. I appreciated his knowledge and the fact that he tailors the tour for people’s desired level of activeness and courage. I would not have felt empowered to navigate the markets by myself because it’s intimidating as an outsider, so it was really great to have him as a guide. If you are visiting a mosque, I would recommend bringing your own head scarf if that is your preference. I wasn’t a huge fan of sharing with people, and the one that I borrowed felt itchy to me. The Gaddafi mosque is somewhat of an athletic climb so bring that water bottle. Overall, the tour is a great way to better understand the daily experiences of people living in Kampala from the perspective of someone from the region. Happy travels!

Perfect Introduction to Kampala: A Must-Do Tour! - This tour was absolutely incredible! There was so much to see and learn about the rich history and development of Kampala. Our guide, Malik, was fantastic—he shared fascinating insights throughout the tour and allowed plenty of time to fully absorb the experience and capture photos along the way. It's the perfect introduction to Uganda. If it's your first time visiting, I highly recommend starting your trip with this tour!

Great way to get acquainted with central Kampala - Really enjoyable walking trip around central Kampala! We went on a Sunday, which is less bustling than weekdays, but the markets are open every day and full of life. Excellent guiding from Naser, and spectacular to take in the city’s seven hills from the minaret at the central mosque (“Gadaffi mosque”)! Highly recommended!

Beautiful Kampala Experience -- People, Trade and Transport - Huge thank you to Malik and Nasser who took me on an exceptional tour of the incredible mosque, markets and bus station. I loved tasting the Kampala Rolex (japatis with fried eggs), and meeting friends and traders in the local markets. They were really knowledgeable and friendly. All in all, a fantastic few hours and would highly recommend!

Great Afternoon in the Heart of Kampala - Such a great way to explore Kampala, especially if you don’t have much time. Malik was very knowledgeable, took me into the heart of the city so I could feel like I really saw a glimpse of daily life, took me to get some local food, which was high in my list (try Rolex) and was very friendly and easy to talk with. Highly recommend!!

A Muzungu getting to understand Kampala's charm - Having Malik guide us on our walking tour was an exotic, enriching experience to which he added his deep knowledge, kindness and exceptional smile. Navigating the city on foot was a challenge - crossing the streets, climing hundreds of stairs at the mosque and going through the markets. The reality of day to day life, the hustle and bustle of the taxi park, the crowded markets and the wonderful views from the top of the minaret blended chaotic notes with peaceful and serene moments. Malik was a wonderful guide.
