Experience of a lifetime! - With limited time, trying to get as many memorable experiences as possible. This tour delivered. From amazingly smooth prep and logistics and communication with Patricia to the pick up all the way to drop off, everything was perfectly attended to. A great thank you to Ashraf, the best guide possible: timely, well-prepared and educated about the content of the tour, and most importantly with the keen interest in exceeding the customer’s expectations. Thank you for an amazing experience and highly recommend the time investment.

A beautiful experience, made more beautiful by the guide - I hadn't done a safari before and I was skeptical doing it alone. But once I got to the place, I had no doubts, it was beautiful. I wish I could've done it for more days, but if you are looking for a sneak peek into the beautiful wilderness of the park, this is perfect. One very important aspect of my experience was my guide, Ashraf, who was very helpful and friendly, and he made sure that I have the best experience possible. When I told him on end of day one that I want to see a lion, he was honest and told me that it's a rare sight for a day, but we will try. I had no hopes, but being well connected to other guides in the area, Ashraf got a call and we got to know there is a pack of lions in the area, he rushed us there, and we got to see it. It's this care and honesty he displayed that made my trip worth it. Infact, he even gave me suggestions on what should I do in the city and how. It's great when passionate people do what they do. Would recommend 100 percent

Great experience - highly recommended - We had booked the 2 day safari for time reasons, with overnight stay at the Pakuba Safari Lodge, which is very nicely located alone with views of the Nile. Our driver Frank excelled as a timing talent on the one hand, we always arrived exactly at the planned times, so that the time in the park itself was maximized. He also knew the spots in the park very well, so we could see everything that lives on animals in the park. When we come back to Uganda, our point of contact for excursions!

Short but epic - I was on a short timeline for touring Uganda in a week, as well as other work in Kampala. I was a tad disorganised and booked last minute, Patricia was really accommodating and sorted a tour for me quickly. I was picked up at 6:30am by Gorge my tour guide, who’d I’d been sent contact details for in advance. It was really educational and eye opening seeing all the villages as you travel North, I used the time to ask questions which I found really useful to know being part of a charity. The countryside is beautiful and it was really interesting seeing how the farm here, what they grow etc. First I arrived at Murchison Falls, a short trek to the top viewing platforms, the force of the rapid was thrilling. There’s a top viewing platform where you definitely get wet from spray but worth it for the view! Next up lunch and the boat tour, the next stop was at Red Chilli, the view was great and food really good. There’s boat tour was great, we saw a great deal of hippopotamus, some crocs, loads of birds, monkeys, warthogs and a giraffe peeping out some trees. The boat had clean toilets and sold drinks and snacks. The game safari was spectacular and Gorge went out of his way to ensure I saw as much as possible, we saw most of the big five , lion, buffalo, elephants, leopard (which is rare). Rhinos you can see in the sanctuary. We retreated for some dinner and rest at the Heritage Safari lodge which was lovely, traditional northern Ugandan huts, good food in a lovely outside dining area (covered) with great service. It’s surrounded by nature and near Lake Victoria so make sure you bug protect up (needed for the morning safari too). Beds have mosquito nets and rooms were extremely clean. The shower was warm enough and a welcoming cool after the long hot day. Morning safari is near the lake Victoria area and we did have lake flies half way through but they were harmless and as I was piping out the top of the vehicle it didn’t bother me at all. Another morning seeing 4 of the big five and lots more. Lots of baboons and monkeys which were really entertaining. Some shy warthogs too. Gorge was really knowledgeable, well connected and genuinely lovely person. He really made the tour and was great company as I was on my own. Highly recommend this tour and Simba Safari.

Short but epic! - This tour was amazing! I highly recommend it, if you’re only visiting once though I’d suggest the five day hour Simba provide too. For myself I plan to return to do the rest as has limited time to tour. This therefore was great for myself. My guide George was so lovely, he made sure I saw everything possible and knew all the animals, birds, trees not forgetting great spots and rangers in the nation park. I visited the top of the falls (be prepared for spray, but it worth it), then via a boat tour to the bottom, passing by the wildlife in the waters such as crocodiles, hippopotamus, birds, monkeys etc. The heritage safari lodge was perfect, prepare for a real bumpy ride to get there but it’s worth it. Traditional Ugandan huts and beautiful surroundings ontop of really welcoming service and good food. I have a wheat allergy and they went out of their way to accommodate it. I was a solo traveller and just myself on the tour, I felt safe the whole time with George and the people of Uganda are so accommodating and friendly.

Fantastic tour with the best guide!! - What a weekend! I booked this trip quite spontaneously and I am so glad I did!!! Frederick from Simba Safaris was the best guide I could hope for. He was kind, knowledgeable, amazing at spotting the animals and knew the names and facts about all of them! He knew places with extremely good food for lunch and seemed to have friends everywhere we went which was really nice. He was very kind and took excellent care of me. I opted for the Ziwa rhino sanctuary add on and that was completely worth it too, it was very special to see these amazing animals up close. All in all I saw 4 of the Big 5 in 2 days (just missed the leopard) and saw so many other wonderful birds and animals such as hippos, antelope, crocodiles and the beautiful nature of the waterfalls, Nile River and the park. A truly unforgettable two days - thank you so much Fred (& Simba Safaris)!
