Day 1: Pick up from hotel in Entebbe and transfer to Kampala for a full city tour. After an early breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour around Kampala. The adventure begins at Mengo Palace, a revered site by the Baganda people. Discover the history behind this location. Next, visit The Gaddafi Mosque, which offers unique photographic opportunities of Kampala’s cityscape. Continue to the Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a fascinating story about the Buganda Kingdom. Other stops include the Uganda Museum and Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, among other city attractions. Return to your hotel in the late evening.

Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to the Source of the Nile and enjoy white water rafting in Jinja, the main highlight of the day. Along the way, visit Sezibwa Falls for a nature walk. Start the day early, departing at 7:00 am. The first stop is Sezibwa Falls, a cultural heritage site of the Buganda Kingdom, rich in traditional folklore as explained by the site guide. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and are home to various birds and wildlife, including monkeys. Spend about an hour exploring before returning to the highway. Drive to Jinja town and have lunch near the Nile. After lunch, visit the Source of the Nile and take a boat ride to the exact spot where the Nile begins. Enjoy the ride further into Lake Victoria, taking in the beautiful countryside and spotting water birds like Cormorants, Egrets, Fish Eagles, and Pelicans. The boat ride lasts about an hour. Return to Kampala, passing through Jinja town where you can buy souvenirs. Expect to arrive in Kampala by 6:00 pm and be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 3: After breakfast, pick up for a visit to the Entebbe Zoo. Spend a few hours at the Wildlife Education Centre, where you can hear a lion’s roar, see chimps in a semi-natural environment, enjoy a one-kilometer forest walk, or have memorable encounters with animal ambassadors. Learn about the importance of protecting and conserving our planet’s natural resources. Have lunch, then visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, established in 1898 and located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria. The gardens cover 40.7 hectares and experience an annual rainfall of 1623 mm at an altitude of 1134 meters. Transfer back to your hotel, concluding the trip.
