Great expérience with JB - Jb was an amazing host, he explained the history of marble and the Cyclades which is very interesting.
The session in itself was amazing, it’s very fun and quite easy to handle the tools.
I would recommande this to anyone coming to Paros.

Don’t miss this incredible experience!!! - Favorite experience in Greece!
I’ve been traveling for over a month from Thessaloniki to Meteora, Crete, Santorini… and this was such an incredible experience! Maggie is a great teacher and sculptor! I learned how to work with marble with the real tools from Pyrgos where she learned from the experts! We just traveled to Tinos and visited the marble museum and I had a unique understanding because of Maggie’s class. I highly recommend this to everyone. Today they loaded a huge piece of marble onto the ferry, and again, I thought of my amazing experience of carving the marble on a beautiful hill in Naxos! Thank you Maggie for making my trip so memorable!!! I’m going home with a real treasure! A marble sculpture that I made myself with an experience that changes my view when I look at anything made of marble from flowering, to a column, a bust and a church!!! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime experience!

Marble Carving Class - My wife and I decided to sign up for this class on our honeymoon. JB was very patient with us and gave us instructed and independent class time. You get VERY dusty, so be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We weren't really sure what to expect but we're so happy with the pieces we created. Would definitely recommend.

Best 3 hours of time on Paros! - What an amazing experience this was. We started with a talk about the marble production history of Paros and the different types of marble. Jb then gave us advice on what types of sculptures we could make and what types of marble we should choose for that. It was a multi languaged attendance and he ensured that everyone understood the instruction. We then got to choose a piece of raw stone that would work for our design. Jb spent time with each of us ensuring that we were comfortable using the power tools. It was a bit scary at first wielding an angle grinder, but Jb was always watching and assisting. I have no ideas where the 3 hours went. It literally whizzed by. We stopped for a quick break to watch the amazing sun set view from his workshop and by the end of the course we all had a beautiful piece of art to take with us. We tied it in with a visit before to the ancient marble quarys to understand the history and a trip to some marble workshops to get some inspiration for our peices. We then went to some galleries to see Jb's creations, which were stunning! I would highly recommend this workshop. Such a fun, but calming way to spend some time in Paros. Thanks Jb 😊

Fun...all do - Very nice workshop to do, super good explanation and guidance. And you bring home laundry that's tangible. Cool to do for everyone.

So much fun! - This marble class was a fantastic experience! JB was an excellent instructor, explaining the techniques clearly and providing support throughout the entire process. We were a bit nervous about using the power tools, but JB's guidance and safety instruction put us at ease. I highly recommend this class to artists of all levels....even for kids!

Accident Waiting to Happen - Let me start off by saying that we did not get to experience the entire 3 hours so this review may not be entirely fair. We had had this activity booked for months. It was supposed to be at 5 PM. I got a WhatsApp message from JB a day or two before with the address to the location and that’s it. We show up at 5 PM the day of only for JB to tell us that the class actually started at 4 PM and that he tried messaging me. So that already started the situation out badly for us. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of people booking stuff through TripAdvisor then the actual host of the activity last minute changing the time. Very inconvenient for people who pre book and plan and pay ahead. However, once we got there JB still let us partake in the class which was nice. Like I said, we showed up late so I’m not entirely sure how much instruction everyone else got but I did ask our group members later about it and they said we didn’t miss much that he mostly discussed the history of marble and they had just started the class really when we showed up. I thought people were being dramatic in the reviews about the safety precautions but they were actually being generous. There were NO instructions given to us. Just handed us some power tools and gave some very basic guidelines. We had to ask for ear protection. The glasses and gloves did not provide much assistance. Really relieved I didn’t lose a toe or a finger. It was seriously a free for all. JB was NOT attentive. The instructions were really limited. The safety gear was severely lacking. In the end, we did get to learn a little bit about marble carving and have a better appreciation for Michelangelo. Plus there was a lovely sunset. But no water to drink despite the heat and no bathroom. Despite being late, 2 hours was enough time for us. By then we were tired and over it seeing as our pieces were not going to be nice enough to take home. Normally at these types of things, the host would help a little more. I wouldn’t recommend this class unless you are already artistic. If you aren’t artistic, you’ll probably just make a paperweight (a bad one at that) and be done with it. Better off spending your money on a professional piece of marble as a souvenir.
